<h3>New LITMUS<sup>RT</sup> Release</h3>
<p>LITMUS<sup>RT</sup> 2011.1 has been released. Among other changes, LITMUS<sup>RT</sup> has been rebased to Linux kernel version 2.6.36 and now supports the ARM CPU architecture. More information is available at <a href="http://www.cs.unc.edu/~anderson/litmus-rt/">the LITMUS<sup>RT</sup> website</a>.</p>

<p>Björn Brandenburg and James H. Anderson won the best student paper award for <a href="http://www.cs.unc.edu/~anderson/papers/rtss10a.pdf">their paper</a> entitled “Optimality Results for Multiprocessor Real-Time Locking” at the 31st IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium in San Diego, CA. Congratulations!</p>

<p>Prof. Sanjoy Baruah is co-organizing the workshop <a href="http://www.cs.unc.edu/~baruah/Meetings/2009XRTS/">Real-time
systems on multicore platforms: Theory and Practice</a>. The workshop, which is part of <a href="http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~icpp2009/">ICPP 2009</a>, will be held in Vienna on September 22.</p>
