* [POWERPC] iSeries: Fix ref counting in vio setupStephen Rothwell2007-11-07

* [POWERPC] Fix copyright symbolStephen Rothwell2007-10-17
| | | | | | | It seems to have been munged by patchwork. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Move viodasd probingStephen Rothwell2007-10-11
| | | | | | | | | | This way we only have entries in the device tree for disks that actually exist. A slight complication is that disks may be attached to LPARs at runtime. * [POWERPC] iSeries: Move detection of virtual tapesStephen Rothwell2007-10-11
| | | | | | | | | Now we will only have entries in the device tree for the actual existing devices (including their OS/400 properties). This way viotape.c gets all the information about the devices from the device tree. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Move detection of virtual cdromsStephen Rothwell2007-10-11
| | | | | | | | | | Now we will only have entries in the device tree for the actual existing devices (including their OS/400 properties). This way viocd.c gets all the information about the devices from the device tree. * [PATCH] powerpc: merge the rest of the vio codeStephen Rothwell2006-04-29

* [PATCH] powerpc: use a common vio_match_device routineStephen Rothwell2006-04-29
| | | | | | | | This requires the compatible properties having vaules that are empty strings instead of just being empty properties. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: use the device tree for the iSeries vio bus probeStephen Rothwell2006-04-29
| | | | | | | | As an added bonus, since every vio_dev now has a device_node associated with it, hotplug now works. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: add all the iSeries virtual devices to the device treeStephen Rothwell2006-04-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | We do this by putting them in the flattened device tree at setup time. This required the flattened device tree blob to be made bigger. Currenly we don't do anything with these. Also make a function static. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: clean up iommu.h a bitStephen Rothwell2006-01-12
| | | | | | | | | | There was a function declared for CONFIG_PSERIES which no longer exists and the two function declarations for CONFIG_ISERIES have been moved into an include file in platforms/iseries since they are defined and used only there. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] ppc64: support 64k pagesBenjamin Herrenschmidt2005-11-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adds a new CONFIG_PPC_64K_PAGES which, when enabled, changes the kernel base page size to 64K. The resulting kernel still boots on any hardware. On current machines with 4K pages support only, the kernel will maintain 16 "subpages" for each 64K page transparently. Note that while real 64K capable HW has been tested, the current patch will not enable it yet as such hardware is not released yet, and I'm still verifying with the firmware architects the proper to get the information from the newer hypervisors.
