* ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Register jacks at the card levelLars-Peter Clausen2015-03-04
| | | | | | | | | The jacks are card level elements so use snd_soc_card_jack_new() instead of snd_soc_jack_new() to register them. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Acked-by: Peter Ujfalusi <peter.ujfalusi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: omap: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang2014-10-20
| | | | | | | A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
* ASoC: omap: Replace instances of rtd->codec->card with rtd->cardLars-Peter Clausen2014-05-20
| | | | | | | | | No need to go via the CODEC to get a pointer to the card. This will help to eventually remove the card field from the snd_soc_codec struct. * ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Use the cpu_dai node to specify the platform driverPeter Ujfalusi2014-04-18
| | | | | | | | | | Now that the platform driver is registered with the cpu_dai's device we can use the same node for it instead of the hardwired name. We can also remove the cpu_dai_name and platform_name from the dai_link struct since we only support DT boot on OMAP4/5 Signed-off-by: Peter Ujfalusi <peter.ujfalusi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
* ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Register machine level DMIC DAPM routes with the cardLars-Peter Clausen2014-03-13
| | | | | | | | | Machine level DAPM widgets and routes should be registered in the card's DAPM context, rather than in the CODEC's context. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Acked-by: Peter Ujfalusi <peter.ujfalusi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
* ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Remove support for pdata (legacy boot)Peter Ujfalusi2013-07-31
| | | | | | | | | Just recently OMAP4 legacy boot support has been removed. No reason to keep the code used by the legacy boot (pdata based) since neither OMAP4 or OMAP5 can boot in this mode. Signed-off-by: Peter Ujfalusi <peter.ujfalusi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
* ASoC: omap: Use common DAI DMA dataLars-Peter Clausen2013-04-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Use the common DAI DMA data struct for omap, this allows us to use the common helper function to configure the DMA slave config based on the DAI DMA data. For omap-dmic and omap-mcpdm also move the DMA data from a global variable to the driver state struct. * ASoC: OMAP: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton2012-12-09
| | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Partly because of additional API support and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff. Some highlights: - Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later - Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if the bus is supported) - HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode. - Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to the support of channel-map API. - Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the mid-x86 drivers. - Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and DaVinci. - Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine. - New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells. - New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010. - Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers - A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode." Fix up various arm soc header file reorg conflicts. * tag 'sound-3.7' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound: (339 commits) ALSA: hda - Add new codec ALC283 ALC290 support ALSA: hda - avoid unneccesary indices on "Headphone Jack" controls ALSA: hda - fix indices on boost volume on Conexant ALSA: aloop - add locking to timer access ALSA: hda - Fix hang caused by race during suspend. sound: Remove unnecessary semicolon ALSA: hda/realtek - Fix detection of ALC271X codec ALSA: hda - Add inverted internal mic quirk for Lenovo IdeaPad U310 ALSA: hda - make Realtek/Sigmatel/Conexant use the generic unsol event ALSA: hda - make a generic unsol event handler ASoC: codecs: Add DA9055 codec driver ASoC: eukrea-tlv320: Convert it to platform driver ALSA: ASoC: add DT bindings for CS4271 ASoC: wm_hubs: Ensure volume updates are handled during class W startup ASoC: wm5110: Adding missing volume update bits ASoC: wm5110: Add OUT3R support ASoC: wm5110: Add AEC loopback support ASoC: wm5110: Rename EPOUT to HPOUT3 ASoC: arizona: Add more clock rates ASoC: arizona: Add more DSP options for mixer input muxes ...
| * ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Add device tree supportPeter Ujfalusi2012-08-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When the board boots with device tree the driver will receive the name of the card, DAPM routing map, phandle for the audio components described in the dts file, mclk speed, and the possibility of detecting the jack detection. The card will be set up based on this information. Since the routing is provided via DT we can mark the card fully routed so core can take care of disconnecting the unused pins. * | ARM: OMAP: Split plat/hardware.h, use local soc.h for omap2+Tony Lindgren2012-09-12
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work, we need to remove plat/hardware.h. Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files. The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more readable. Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later on without patching these files again. Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers. Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's no need to include omap44xx.h. While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way. * ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Introduce driver data for runtime parametersPeter Ujfalusi2012-05-22
| | | | | | | | | | | In preparation to Device Tree support. With DT booted kernel we can not rely on pdata which used to hold information needed for the driver at runtime. Use the card's driver data to hold these informations from now on. * ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: Keep only one snd_soc_dai_link structurePeter Ujfalusi2012-05-22
| | | | | | | | | | | There is no need to have two snd_soc_dai_link structure for the two setup the machine driver supports. We can just tell core to register only the first link if the DMIC link is not in use on the device. * ASoC: omap-abe-twl6040: DAI link selection based on platform dataPeter Ujfalusi2012-01-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | We can have machines without DMIC connected. In this case there is no need to create amother (unusable) capture PCM on the card. The existence of the DMIC connection can be checked via pdata->has_dmic. Select the correct dai_link structure for the card based on pdata->has_dmic.
