* mmc: remove imxmmc driverSascha Hauer2012-04-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This driver is broken since 2.6.31 when the traditional i.MX1 support was removed. In theory the i.MX1 mmc controller can be supported by the mxcmmc driver which basically is the same hardware. However, the i.MX1 controller has severe bugs which made several workarounds necessary which resulted in a different driver structure. At that time it seemed easier to write a second driver to support hardware without bugs. As noone cared for the i.MX1 driver for a long time and it does not compile, remove it. * mmc: Remove distinction between hw and phys segmentsMartin K. Petersen2010-10-23
| | | | | | | | | We have deprecated the distinction between hardware and physical segments in the block layer. Consolidate the two limits into one in drivers/mmc/. Signed-off-by: Martin K. Petersen <martin.petersen@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Ball <cjb@laptop.org>
* drivers/mmc/host/imxmmc.c: adjust confusing if indentationJulia Lawall2010-09-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Move the second if (reg & ...) test into the branch indicated by its indentation. The test was previously always executed after the if containing that branch, but it was always false unless the if branch was taken. The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r disable braces4@ position p1,p2; statement S1,S2; @@ ( if (...) { ... } | if (...) S1@p1 S2@p2 ) @script:python@ p1 << r.p1; p2 << r.p2; @@ if (p1[0].column == p2[0].column): cocci.print_main("branch",p1) cocci.print_secs("after",p2) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Chris Ball <cjb@laptop.org> Cc: Pavel Pisa <ppisa@pikron.com> Cc: <linux-mmc@vger.kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* mmc: remove the "state" argument to mmc_suspend_host()Matt Fleming2010-05-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Even though many mmc host drivers pass a pm_message_t argument to mmc_suspend_host() that argument isn't used the by MMC core. As host drivers are converted to dev_pm_ops they'll have to construct pm_message_t's (as they won't be passed by the PM subsystem any more) just to appease the mmc suspend interface. We might as well just delete the unused paramter. * imxmmc: move RSSR BLRPaulius Zaleckas2009-04-08
| | | | | | | | | | | DMA request source (RSSR) needs to be set only once (in probe). DMA burst length (BLR) need to be set only in set_ios() This cleans up imxmci_setup_data() and should make it a little bit faster :) Signed-off-by: Paulius Zaleckas <paulius.zaleckas@teltonika.lt> Signed-off-by: Pierre Ossman <drzeus@drzeus.cx>

* imxmmc: remove DEBUG definitionPaulius Zaleckas2008-07-26

* mmc: change .get_ro() callback semanticsAnton Vorontsov2008-07-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now get_ro() callback must return 0/1 values for its logical states, and negative errno values in case of error. If particular host instance doesn't support RO/WP switch, it should return -ENOSYS. This patch changes some hosts in two ways: 1. Now functions should be smart to not return negative values in "RO asserted" case (particularly gpio_ calls could return negative values for the outermost GPIOs). Also, board code usually passes get_ro() callbacks that directly return gpioreg & bit result, so at91_mci, imxmmc, pxamci and mmc_spi's get_ro() handlers need take special care when returning platform's values to the mmc core. 2. In case of host instance didn't implement get_ro() callback, it should really return -ENOSYS and let the mmc core decide what to do about it (mmc core thinks the same way as the hosts, so it isn't functional change). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since 43cc71eed1250755986da4c0f9898f9a635cb3bf, the platform modalias is prefixed with "platform:".
