* drivers/ieee802154: move ieee802154 drivers to net folderalex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com2012-08-30
| | | | | | | | | | | The IEEE 802.15.4 standard represents a networking protocol. I don't exactly know why drivers for this protocol are stored into the root 'driver' folder, but better will be to store them with other networking stuff. Currently there are only 3 drivers available for IEEE 802.15.4 stack, so lets do it now with the smallest overhead. * drivers/ieee802154/at86rf230: replace the code under _init and _exit by macroalex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com2012-08-30
| | | | | | | | | | The code under _init and _exit functions is similar to the code of module_spi_driver macro, which is a wrapper to the module_driver macro, so use it instead. * drivers/ieee802154: add support for the at86rf230/231 transceiversalex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com2012-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | | The AT86RF231 is a feature rich, low-power 2.4 GHz radio transceiver designed for industrial and consumer ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN, RF4CE and high data rate 2.4 GHz ISM band applications. This patch adds support for the Atmel RF230/231 radio transceivers. Signed-off-by: Alexander Smirnov <alex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* drivers/ieee802154: IEEE 802.15.4 loopback driveralex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com2012-05-16
| | | | | | | | Add support for IEEE 802.15.4 loopback driver - useful development and debugging tool. Signed-off-by: Alexander Smirnov <alex.bluesman.smirnov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: remove NETIF_F_NO_CSUM feature bitMichał Mirosław2011-11-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | Only distinct use is checking if NETIF_F_NOCACHE_COPY should be enabled by default. The check heuristics is altered a bit here, so it hits other people than before. The default shouldn't be trusted for performance-critical cases anyway. For all other uses NETIF_F_NO_CSUM is equivalent to NETIF_F_HW_CSUM. * IEEE 802.15.4: do not enable driver debugging by defaultWerner Almesberger2011-06-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | The IEEE 802.15.4 drivers were compiled by default with debugging, which caused them to be rather chatty and slow. This patch silences them. People debugging drivers can still add a #define DEBUG in the beginning of the respective file or use dynamic debug This patch also removes the now unused option CONFIG_FFD. * fakehard: stop setting platform_data as it's unused anymoreDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2011-06-30
| | | | | | | Previously dev.platform_data was used to store a pointer to net device. Now this code was gone. Drop it. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com>
* net: call dev_alloc_name from register_netdeviceJiri Pirko2011-05-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Force dev_alloc_name() to be called from register_netdevice() by dev_get_valid_name(). That allows to remove multiple explicit dev_alloc_name() calls. The possibility to call dev_alloc_name in advance remains. This also fixes veth creation regresion caused by 84c49d8c3e4abefb0a41a77b25aa37ebe8d6b743 Signed-off-by: Jiri Pirko <jpirko@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* | wpan-phy: follow usual patter of devices registrationDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2009-11-06

* | wpan-phy: allow specifying a per-page channel maskDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2009-11-06
|/ | | | | | | | IEEE 802.15.4-2006 defines channel pages that hold channels (max 32 pages, 27 channels per page). Allow the driver to specify supported channels on pages, other than the first one. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com>

* ieee802154: add support for channel pages from IEEE 802.15.4-2006Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov2009-08-19

| * ieee802154: move headers out of extra directoryDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2009-07-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | include/net/ieee802154/af_ieee802154.h (and others) naming seems to be too long and redundant. Drop one level of subdirectories. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com>
| * IEEE80154: Add documentation to the IEEE80154 netlink and fakehard driverDaniel Silverstone2009-07-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds some perfunctory documentation comments to the IEEE 802.15.4 fakehard.c driver (Fake hard MAC) and the nl802154.h (outgoing netlink messages) header. These comments are not necessarily complete, but they do reference the IEEE 802.15.4-2006 document where possible. Signed-off-by: Daniel Silverstone <dsilvers@simtec.co.uk>
* | net: use NETDEV_TX_OK instead of 0 in ndo_start_xmit() functionsPatrick McHardy2009-07-05
|/ | | | | | | | | | | This patch is the result of an automatic spatch transformation to convert all ndo_start_xmit() return values of 0 to NETDEV_TX_OK. Some occurences are missed by the automatic conversion, those will be handled in a seperate patch. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. * ieee802154: fix kconfig bool/tristate muckupRandy Dunlap2009-06-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | menuconfig IEEE802154_DRIVERS is a bool that depends on tristate IEEE802154. If the IEEE802154 symbol is 'm', the bool becomes 'y'. This allows tristate symbols under IEEE802154_DRIVERS to be configured as 'y' and cause build problems. Changing the menuconfig bool to a tristate fixes this. drivers/built-in.o: In function `fake_scan_req': fakehard.c:(.text+0x46d625): undefined reference to `ieee802154_nl_scan_confirm' drivers/built-in.o: In function `fake_disassoc_req': fakehard.c:(.text+0x46d66f): undefined reference to `ieee802154_nl_disassoc_confirm' drivers/built-in.o: In function `fake_assoc_req': fakehard.c:(.text+0x46d6be): undefined reference to `ieee802154_nl_assoc_confirm' Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com> Acked-by: Sergey Lapin <slapin@ossfans.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
