* [SCSI] fc4: remove this and all associated driversMatthew Wilcox2007-10-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | This code has been slowly rotting for about eight years. It's currently impeding a few SCSI cleanups, and nobody seems to have hardware to test it any more. I talked to Dave Miller about it, and he agrees we can delete it. If anyone wants a software FC stack in future, they can retrieve this driver from git. * [PATCH] getting rid of all casts of k[cmz]alloc() callsRobert P. J. Day2006-12-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Run this: #!/bin/sh for f in $(grep -Erl "\([^\)]*\) *k[cmz]alloc" *) ; do echo "De-casting $f..." perl -pi -e "s/ ?= ?\([^\)]*\) *(k[cmz]alloc) *\(/ = \1\(/" $f done And then go through and reinstate those cases where code is casting pointers to non-pointers. And then drop a few hunks which conflicted with outstanding work. * [SCSI] fc4: Conversion to struct scsi_cmnd in fc4Henrik Kretzschmar2006-10-25
| | | | | | | | | Changes the obsolete Scsi_Cmnd to struct scsi_cmnd in the Fibre Channel driver (fc4). Signed-off-by: Henrik Kretzschmar <henne@nachtwindheim.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>
* [PATCH] Remove ->rq_status from struct requestJens Axboe2006-09-30
| | | | | | | | | | | After Christophs SCSI change, the only usage left is RQ_ACTIVE and RQ_INACTIVE. The block layer sets RQ_INACTIVE right before freeing the request, so any check for RQ_INACTIVE in a driver is a bug and indicates use-after-free. So kill/clean the remaining users, straight forward. * [SCSI] ifdef out broken fc4 EH codeChristoph Hellwig2005-07-02
| | | | | | | | This code pokes deep into EH internals and duplicates scsi_error.c code wrongly. It doesn't compile anymore in scsi-misc, so let's #if 0 out the code - the driver hasn't worked for more than five years anyway. Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

* [SCSI] Remove unnecessary locking around completion function callsJeff Garzik2005-06-17
| | | | | | | | The SCSI ->done() hook should not be called from inside a spinlock. Drivers that do this are mostly cut-n-paste from 2.2.x-era. Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
