* compat: move compat_siginfo_t definition to asm/compat.hDenys Vlasenko2012-10-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a preparatory patch for the introduction of NT_SIGINFO elf note. Make the location of compat_siginfo_t uniform across eight architectures which have it. Now it can be pulled in by including asm/compat.h or linux/compat.h. Most of the copies are verbatim. compat_uid[32]_t had to be replaced by __compat_uid[32]_t. compat_uptr_t had to be moved up before compat_siginfo_t in asm/compat.h on a several architectures (tile already had it moved up). compat_sigval_t had to be relocated from linux/compat.h to asm/compat.h. * powerpc: Add VSX context save/restore, ptrace and signal supportMichael Neuling2008-06-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch extends the floating point save and restore code to use the VSX load/stores when VSX is available. This will make FP context save/restore marginally slower on FP only code, when VSX is available, as it has to load/store 128bits rather than just 64bits. Mixing FP, VMX and VSX code will get constant architected state. The signals interface is extended to enable access to VSR 0-31 doubleword 1 after discussions with tool chain maintainers. Backward compatibility is maintained. The ptrace interface is also extended to allow access to VSR 0-31 full registers. * Revert "[POWERPC] Add compat handler for PTRACE_GETSIGINFO"Paul Mackerras2008-04-24
| | | | | | | | | This reverts commit e4cc58944c1e2ce41e3079d4eb60c95e7ce04b2b, as requested by Roland McGrath, because compat_ptrace_request (added in commit e16b27816462de700f9508d86954410c41105dc2, "ptrace: compat_ptrace_request siginfo") now handles this case. * [POWERPC] Add compat handler for PTRACE_GETSIGINFOAndreas Schwab2008-04-19
| | | | | | | | | Current versions of gdb require a working implementation of PTRACE_GETSIGINFO for proper watchpoint support. Since struct siginfo contains pointers it must be converted when passed to a 32-bit debugger. Signed-off-by: Andreas Schwab <schwab@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
