vmscan: tracing: add a postprocessing script for reclaim-related ftrace events
Add a simple post-processing script for the reclaim-related trace events. It can be used to give an indication of how much traffic there is on the LRU lists and how severe latencies due to reclaim are. Example output looks like the following Reclaim latencies expressed as order-latency_in_ms uname-3942 9-200.179000000004 9-98.7900000000373 9-99.8330000001006 kswapd0-311 0-662.097999999998 2# This is a POC for reading the text representation of trace output related to
3# page reclaim. It makes an attempt to extract some high-level information on
4# what is going on. The accuracy of the parser may vary
5#
6# Example usage: trace-vmscan-postprocess.pl < /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/trace_pipe
7# other options
8# --read-procstat If the trace lacks process info, get it from /proc
9# --ignore-pid Aggregate processes of the same name together
