* iwl3945: fix possible il->txq NULL pointer dereference in delayed worksStanislaw Gruszka2012-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 210787e82a0ac1ffb5d7be1c796f0c51050849ad upstream. On il3945_down procedure we free tx queue data and nullify il->txq pointer. After that we drop mutex and then cancel delayed works. There is possibility, that after drooping mutex and before the cancel, some delayed work will start and crash while trying to send commands to the device. For example, here is reported crash in il3945_bg_reg_txpower_periodic(): https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42766#c10 Patch fix problem by adding il->txq check on works that send commands, hence utilize tx queue. * iwlegacy: set tx power after rxon_assocStanislaw Gruszka2011-08-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 17e859a899712d16c3e70b045d61ad9e02c53f8a upstream. If settings of tx power was deferred during scan or changing channel we have to setup them during commit rxon. Fix problem on 3945 (4965 already has this fix). Optimize code to apply tx settings only when tx power was actually changed. Signed-off-by: Stanislaw Gruszka <sgruszka@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: John W. * iwlwifi: split the drivers for agn and legacy devices 3945/4965Wey-Yi Guy2011-02-21
Intel WiFi devices 3945 and 4965 now have their own driver in the folder drivers/net/wireless/iwlegacy Add support to build these drivers independently of the driver for AGN devices. Selecting the 3945 builds iwl3945.ko and iwl_legacy.ko, and selecting the 4965 builds iwl4965.ko and iwl_legacy.ko. iwl-legacy.ko contains code shared between both devices. The 3945 is an ABG/BG device, with no support for 802.11n. The 4965 is a 2x3 ABGN device.
