* USB: ezusb: move ezusb.c from drivers/usb/serial to drivers/usb/miscRene Buergel2012-09-26
| | | | | | | | | | This patch - moves drivers/usb/serial/ezusb.c to drivers/usb/misc/ - renamed CONFIG_USB_EZUSB to CONFIG_USB_EZUSB_FX2 to avoid build errors - adapts Makefiles and Kconfigs switching from bool to tristate for CONFIG_USB_EZUSB_FX2 Signed-off-by: René Bürgel <rene.buergel@sohard.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: ezusb: add functions for firmware downloadRene Buergel2012-09-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds new functions to upload firmware to the controller. The drivers currently using ezusb are adapted to use these new functions. This also fixes a bug occuring during firmware loading in the whiteheat-driver: The driver iterates over an ihex-formatted firmware using ++ on a "const struct ihex_binrec*" which leads to faulty results, because ihex data is read as length. The function "ihex_next_binrec(record)" has so be used to work correctly Signed-off-by: René Bürgel <rene.buergel@sohard.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: ezusb: add support for Cypress FX2LPRene Buergel2012-09-18
| | | | | | | | | This Patch adds support for the newer Cypress FX2LP. It also adapts three drivers currently using ezusb to the interface change. (whiteheat and keyspan[_pda]) Signed-off-by: René Bürgel <rene.buergel@sohard.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: serial: ezusb: remove last printk() callGreg Kroah-Hartman2012-09-18
| | | | | | | | This code shouldn't be calling printk(), no one needs to know this debug message, the return code is good enough. Cc: "René Bürgel" <rene.buergel@sohard.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: ezusb: remove dependancy on usb_serialRene Buergel2012-09-14
| | | | | | | | | This patch removes the dependency on the usb_serial interface and names some magic constants Signed-off-by: René Bürgel <rene.buergel@sohard.de> -- Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: ezusb.c: remove dbg() tracing callsGreg Kroah-Hartman2012-05-03
| | | | | | | dbg() was used a lot a long time ago to trace code flow. Now that we have ftrace, this isn't needed at all, so remove these calls. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* USB: remove use of err() in drivers/usb/serialGreg Kroah-Hartman2008-10-17
| | | | | | | | | err() is going away, so switch to dev_err() or printk() if it's really needed. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* whiteheat: coding styleAlan Cox2008-07-22

* USB: replace remaining __FUNCTION__ occurrencesHarvey Harrison2008-04-25
| | | | | | | | __FUNCTION__ is gcc-specific, use __func__ Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* USB: usbserial: provide ezusb functions for an external module.Paul Chavent2008-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | When building an external module, the ezusb_* functions are not defined if we haven't loaded any built'in module that use them (whiteheat, keyspan, ...). This patch allow to build those functions even if we only have selected the usbserial generic driver. * USB: kmemdup() cleanup in drivers/usb/Eric Sesterhenn2006-12-01
| | | | | | | | | replace open coded kmemdup() to save some screen space, and allow inlining/not inlining to be triggered by gcc. Signed-off-by: Eric Sesterhenn <snakebyte@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* [PATCH] USB: move usb-serial.h to include/linux/usb/Greg Kroah-Hartman2006-07-12
| | | | | | | | | | USB serial outside of the kernel tree can not build properly due to usb-serial.h being buried down in the source tree. This patch moves the location of the file to include/linux/usb and fixes up all of the usb serial drivers to handle the move properly. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
