* selftests/x86/ldt_gdt_32: Work around a glibc sigaction() bugAndy Lutomirski2017-05-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 65973dd3fd31151823f4b8c289eebbb3fb7e6bc0 upstream. i386 glibc is buggy and calls the sigaction syscall incorrectly. This is asymptomatic for normal programs, but it blows up on programs that do evil things with segmentation. The ldt_gdt self-test is an example of such an evil program. This doesn't appear to be a regression -- I think I just got lucky with the uninitialized memory that glibc threw at the kernel when I wrote the test. This hackish fix manually issues sigaction(2) syscalls to undo the damage. Without the fix, ldt_gdt_32 segfaults; with the fix, it passes for me. * x86/mpx: Re-add MPX to selftests MakefileDave Hansen2017-05-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit e64d5fbe56259c94df504af8ce804cfc6a022adb upstream. Ingo pointed out that the MPX tests were no longer in the selftests Makefile. It appears that I shot myself in the foot on this one and accidentally removed them when I added the pkeys tests, probably from bungling a merge conflict. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove networking from Documentation Makefile to move the test to selftests. Update networking/timestamping Makefile to work under selftests. These tests will not be run as part of selftests suite and will not be included in install targets. They can be built and run separately for now. This is part of the effort to move runnable code from Documentation. Acked-by: Jonathan Corbet <corbet@lwn.net> Signed-off-by: Shuah Khan <shuahkh@osg.samsung.com>

| * | selftests/powerpc: Fix build break caused by EXPORT_SYMBOL changesMichael Ellerman2016-10-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The changes to make EXPORT_SYMBOL work in asm, specifically commit 9445aa1a3062 ("ppc: move exports to definitions"), in the kbuild tree, breaks some of our selftests. That is because we symlink the kernel code into the selftest, and shim the required headers, and we are now missing asm/export.h So create a minimal export.h to keep the tests building once powerpc and the kbuild trees are merged.
