* backlight: kb3886_bl: fix incorrect placement of __initdata markerJingoo Han2014-01-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The __initdata marker can be virtually anywhere on the line, EXCEPT right after "struct". The preferred location is before the "=" sign if there is one, or before the trailing ";" otherwise. It also fixes the following chechpatch warning. WARNING: __initdata should be placed after kb3886bl_device_table[] Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* backlight: kb3886_bl: use devm_backlight_device_register()Jingoo Han2013-11-12
| | | | | | | | | Use devm_backlight_device_register() to make cleanup paths simpler, and remove unnecessary remove(). Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* backlight: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han2013-11-12
| | | | | | | | | | Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. This is a cosmetic change to make the code simpler and enhance the readability. * backlight: kb3886_bl: convert kb3886bl to dev_pm_opsJingoo Han2013-04-29
| | | | | | | | | Instead of using legacy suspend/resume methods, using newer dev_pm_ops structure allows better control over power management. * backlight: add backlight typeMatthew Garrett2011-03-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There may be multiple ways of controlling the backlight on a given machine. Allow drivers to expose the type of interface they are providing, making it possible for userspace to make appropriate policy decisions. * backlight: Allow properties to be passed at registrationMatthew Garrett2010-03-16
| | | | | | | | | | Values such as max_brightness should be set before backlights are registered, but the current API doesn't allow that. Add a parameter to backlight_device_register and update drivers to ensure that they set this correctly.
