NO_IRQ has been == 0 on powerpc for just over ten years (since commit
0ebfff1491ef ("[POWERPC] Add new interrupt mapping core and change
platforms to use it")). It's also 0 on most other arches.
Although it's fairly harmless, every now and then it causes confusion
when a driver is built on powerpc and another arch which doesn't define
NO_IRQ. There's at least 6 definitions of NO_IRQ in drivers/, at least
some of which are to work around that problem.
So we'd like to remove it. This is fairly trivial in the arch code, we
just convert:
if (irq == NO_IRQ) to if (!irq)
if (irq != NO_IRQ) to if (irq)
irq = NO_IRQ; to irq = 0;
return NO_IRQ; to return 0;
And a few other odd cases as well.
At least for now we keep the #define NO_IRQ, because there is driver
code that uses NO_IRQ and the fixes to remove those will go via other
trees.
Note we also change some occurrences in PPC sound drivers, drivers/ps3,
and drivers/macintosh.

In case of error, the functions platform_get_resource() and kmalloc()
returns NULL not ERR_PTR(). The IS_ERR() test in the return value check
should be replaced with NULL test.

An earlier commit referenced 'hose_list' in sysdev/ppc4xx_hsta_msi.c.
hose_list is defined in ppc-pci.h, which was not included in that
file. Include it, fixing the build for the akebono defconfig used
by the kbuild test robot.

Use accessor for_each_pci_msi_entry() to access MSI device list, so we
could easily move msi_list from struct pci_dev into struct device
later.

Move the ppc4xx hsta msi subsystem to use the pci_controller_ops
structure rather than ppc_md for MSI related PCI controller
operations.
As with fsl_msi, operations are plugged in at the subsys level, after
controller creation. Again, we iterate over all controllers and
populate them with the MSI ops.

Pull driver core update from Greg KH:
"Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1.
They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform
drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes,
just removing a line in a structure.
Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There
are some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been
acked by the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs
changes.

This makes the code more compact and allows removing

The PPC476GTR SoC supports message signalled interrupts (MSI) by writing
to special addresses within the High Speed Transfer Assist (HSTA) module.
This patch adds support for PCI MSI with a new system device. The DMA
window is also updated to allow access to the entire 42-bit address range
to allow PCI devices write access to the HSTA module.
