* serial: jsm: Fix unnecessary space before function ptr argumentsKonrad Zapalowicz2014-11-25
| | | | | | | | This commit deals with the checkpatch warning "Unnecessary space before function pointer arguments". Signed-off-by: Konrad Zapalowicz <bergo.torino@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* serial: jsm: Remove unnecessary parameter from clear_break()Konrad Zapalowicz2014-11-25
| | | | | | | | | The 'force' parameter to the {cls,neo}_send_break() function has been removed because it has not been used. The client to this API (the tty code) always called this function with only one value. * drivers: serial: jsm: Remove FSF address from the file documentation/headerKonrad Zapalowicz2014-11-06
| | | | | | | | This commit removes the address of Free Software Foundation from each of the mentioned file in order to suppress the checkpatch warning. Signed-off-by: Konrad Zapalowicz <bergo.torino@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* drivers: serial: jsm: Enable support for Digi Classic adaptersKonrad Zapalowicz2014-11-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit enables support for the Digi Classic adapters line in the jsm driver. This means changes in: - device probing code - device cleanup code - driver description (Kconfig) The init/cleanup code is based on the staging/dgnc driver. * drivers: serial: jsm: Add the Classic board implementationKonrad Zapalowicz2014-11-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds the Digi Classic board implementation to the staging/jsm driver. The code here is taken from the staging/dgnc driver and modified to match the serial/jsm state. This work is mostly based on the changes that has been done to the code handling the Digi Neo cards with the inspiration coming from the diff between staging/dgnc and serial/jsm as well as the LKML history for the jsm_neo.c The code compiles now and has no sparse and checkpatch errors or warnings. * drivers: serial: jsm: Add Classic board UART structureKonrad Zapalowicz2014-11-06
| | | | | | | | This commit adds the UART structure for the Digi Classic cards. This code comes from the staging/dgnc driver. Signed-off-by: Konrad Zapalowicz <bergo.torino@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* jsm: add support for additional Neo cardsBill Pemberton2014-09-08
| | | | | | | | Add device ids for additional Neo cards. The ids come from the dgnc driver. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@worldbroken.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* serial: jsm: Convert jsm_printk to jsm_dbgJoe Perches2012-10-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | These printks should all be emitted at KERN_DEBUG level. Make them dependent on CONFIG_DEBUG or (#define DEBUG) simplify the code a bit. Add missing newlines where appropriate. Most all of these messages could be deleted too. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* jsm: remove buggy write queueThadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo2011-08-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | jsm uses a write queue that copies from uart_core circular buffer. This copying however has some bugs, like not wrapping the head counter. Since this write queue is also a circular buffer, the consumer function is ready to use the uart_core circular buffer directly. This buggy copying function was making some bytes be dropped when transmitting to a raw tty, doing something like this. [root@hostname ~]$ cat /dev/ttyn1 > cascardo/dump & [1] 2658 [root@hostname ~]$ cat /proc/tty/drivers > /dev/ttyn0 [root@hostname ~]$ cat /proc/tty/drivers /dev/tty /dev/tty 5 0 system:/dev/tty /dev/console /dev/console 5 1 system:console /dev/ptmx /dev/ptmx 5 2 system /dev/vc/0 /dev/vc/0 4 0 system:vtmaster jsm /dev/ttyn 250 0-31 serial serial /dev/ttyS 4 64-95 serial hvc /dev/hvc 229 0-7 system pty_slave /dev/pts 136 0-1048575 pty:slave pty_master /dev/ptm 128 0-1048575 pty:master unknown /dev/tty 4 1-63 console [root@hostname ~]$ cat cascardo/dump /dev/tty /dev/tty 5 0 system:/dev/tty /dev/console /dev/console 5 1 system:console /dev/ptmx /dev/ptmx 5 2 system /dev/vc/0 /dev/vc/0 4 0 system:vtmaste[root@hostname ~]$ This patch drops the driver write queue entirely, using the circular buffer from uart_core only. * jsm: remove remaining flip buffer codeThadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo2011-08-24
| | | | | | | | The flip buffer is not used anymore. Remove its allocation and declaration in the board structure. Signed-off-by: Thadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo <cascardo@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

* tty: move drivers/serial/ to drivers/tty/serial/Greg Kroah-Hartman2011-01-13
The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall. This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago.
