* powerpc: do away with ARCH_[WANT_OPTIONAL|REQUIRE]_GPIOLIBLinus Walleij2016-06-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This replaces: - "select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB" as this can now be selected directly. - "select ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB" with no dependency: GPIOLIB is now selectable by everyone, so we need not declare our intent to select it. When ordering the symbols the following rationale was used: if the selects were in alphabetical order, I moved select GPIOLIB to be in alphabetical order, but if the selects were not maintained in alphabetical order, I just replaced "select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB". * powerpc/44x/Akebono: Remove select of IBM_EMAC_RGMII_WOLPaul Bolle2014-12-28
| | | | | | | | | | | Commit 2a2c74b2efcb ("IBM Akebono: Add the Akebono platform") added a select of IBM_EMAC_RGMII_WOL. But that Kconfig symbol isn't (yet) part of the tree. So this select has been a nop since that commit was included in v3.16-rc1. * | IBM Akebono: Remove obsolete config selectAlistair Popple2014-10-29
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | The original implementation of MMC support for Akebono introduced a new configuration symbol (MMC_SDHCI_OF_476GTR). This symbol has been dropped in favour of using the generic platform driver however the select for this symbol was mistakenly left in the platform configuration. This patch removes the obsolete symbol selection. Signed-off-by: Alistair Popple <alistair@popple.id.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Bolle <pebolle@tiscali.nl> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
* ppc476: Enable a linker work around for IBM errata #46Alistair Popple2014-04-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds an option to enable a work around for an icache bug on 476 that can cause execution of stale instructions when falling through pages (IBM errata #46). It requires a recent version of binutils which supports the --ppc476-workaround option. The work around enables the appropriate linker options and ensures that all module output sections are aligned to 4K page boundaries. The work around is only required when building modules. * powerpc: Added PCI MSI support using the HSTA moduleAlistair Popple2014-04-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | The PPC476GTR SoC supports message signalled interrupts (MSI) by writing to special addresses within the High Speed Transfer Assist (HSTA) module. This patch adds support for PCI MSI with a new system device. The DMA window is also updated to allow access to the entire 42-bit address range to allow PCI devices write access to the HSTA module. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | Just like the OHCI counter part we just can remove the architecture specific symbols which prevent these configuration symbols from being selected by platforms/architectures requiring it. The original implementation did not scale at all since it required each and every single architecture to be added for these configuration symbols to be selected. * | net: fix IBM EMAC driver after rename.Tony Breeds2011-08-19
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In commit 9aa3283595451ca093500ff0977b106e1f465586 (ehea/ibm*: Move the IBM drivers) the IBM_NEW_EMAC* were renames to IBM_EMAC* The conversion was incomplete so that even if the driver was added to the .config it wasn't built, but there were no errors). In this commit we also update the various defconfigs that use EMAC to use the new Kconfig symbol, and explicitly add the NET_VENDOR_IBM guard. We do not explicitly select the Kconfig dependencies, as this would force EMAC on. Doing it in the defconfig allows more flexibility. Tested on a canyondlands board. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds the base support for the 476 processor. The code was primarily written by Ben Herrenschmidt and Torez Smith, but I've been maintaining it for a while. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch creates a common system reset routine for all 40x and 44x systems. Previously only a 44x routine existed. But since this system reset via the debug control register is common for 40x and 44x let's share this code for all those platforms in ppc4xx_soc.c. It introduces a common 4xx SoC file (sysdev/ppc4xx_soc.c) which currently "only" adds the L2 cache init code. Other common 4xx stuff can be added later here.
