New LinSched Release by Google
Google has announced a new release of LinSched (the Linux Schedule Simulator), originally created by recent graduate John Calandrino.

Fellowships
Mac Mollison has been awarded a NC Space Grant Graduate Research Fellowship. Björn Brandenburg has been awarded a UNC Dissertation Completion Research Fellowship. Jeremy Erickson received an honorable mention from NSF. We would like to thank all our funding sources for their continued support.

Best Paper Award
Cong Liu and James H. Anderson won the best student paper award for their paper entitled “Task Scheduling with Self-Suspensions in Soft Real-Time Multiprocessor Systems” at the 30th IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium in Washington, DC. Congratulations!

Visiting Researcher
The UNC Real-Time Systems Group welcomes Andrea Bastoni (of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" ). Andrea will collaborate on joint LITMUSRT-related work during his year-long stay with us.
