The return value from NVGPU_COND_WAIT_INTERRUPTIBLE in
channel poll worker is wrongly compared with 0 and the
boolean result is assigned to ret value used subsequently.
Instead, the direct return value from
NVGPU_COND_WAIT_INTERRUPTIBLE should be used.
This bug seems remnant of the following patch which moved
the handling from 'wait_event_timeout' to 'NVGPU_COND_WAIT'.

This patch deals with cleanups meant to make things simpler for the
upcoming os abstraction patches for the sync framework. This patch
causes some substantial changes which are listed out as follows.
1) sync_timeline is moved out of gk20a_fence into struct
nvgpu_channel_linux. New function pointers are created to facilitate os
independent methods for enabling/disabling timeline and are now named
as os_fence_framework. These function pointers are located in the struct
os_channel under struct gk20a.
2) construction of the channel_sync require nvgpu_finalize_poweron_linux()
to be invoked before invocations to nvgpu_init_mm_ce_context(). Hence,
these methods are now moved away from gk20a_finalize_poweron() and
invoked after nvgpu_finalize_poweron_linux().
3) sync_fence creation is now delinked from fence construction and move
to the channel_sync_gk20a's channel_incr methods. These sync_fences are
mainly associated with post_fences.
4) In case userspace requires the sync_fences to be constructed, we
try to obtain an fd before the gk20a_channel_submit_gpfifo() instead of
trying to do that later. This is used to avoid potential after effects
of duplicate work submission due to failure to obtain an unused fd.

The patch adds the HAL interfaces for handling the usermode
submission, particularly allocating channel specific usermode
userd. These interfaces are currently implemented only on QNX,
and are created accordingly. As and when linux adds the
usermode submission support, we can revisit them
if any further changes are needed.

The patch defines 'struct nvgpu_gpfifo_args' to be filled
by alloc_gpfifo(_ex) ioctls and passed to the
gk20a_channel_alloc_gpfifo function. This is required as a
prep towards having the usermode submission support in the

Instead of looping all jobs and releasing their semaphores separately,
do just one semaphore release. All the jobs are using the same sema
index, and the final, maximum value of it is known.
Move also this resetting into ch->sync->set_min_eq_max() to be
consistent with syncpoints.

Semaphores don't need to be released from CPU anymore, so clarify the
code by deleting nvgpu_semaphore_release() and refactoring
__nvgpu_semaphore_release() to nvgpu_semaphore_reset() that only
"fast-forwards" the semaphore to a later value.
While doing this, the meaning of nvgpu_semaphore_incr() changes, so
rename it to nvgpu_semaphore_prepare(). Now it's only used to prepare an
nvgpu_semaphore for a value that the HW will increment the sema to.
Also change the BUG_ON that guards sema double-inits into just WARN_ON.

MAX/threshold value of user managed syncpoint is not tracked by nvgpu
So if channel is reset by nvgpu there could be waiters still waiting on some
user syncpoint fence
Fix this by setting a large safe value to user managed syncpoint when aborting
the channel and when closing the channel
We right now increment the current value by 0x10000 which should be sufficient
to release any pending waiter

struct nvgpu_semaphore represents (mainly) a threshold value that a sema
at some index will get and struct nvgpu_semaphore_int (aka "hw_sema")
represents the allocation (and write access) of a semaphore index and
the next value that the sema at that index can have. The threshold
object doesn't need a pointer to the sema allocation that is not even
guaranteed to exist for the whole threshold lifetime, so replace the
pointer by the position of the sema in the sema pool.
This requires some modifications to pass a hw sema around explicitly
because it now represents write access more explicitly.
Delete also the index field of semaphore_int because it can be directly
derived from the offset in the sema location and is thus unnecessary.

Replace the padding in nvgpu_channel_wdt_args with a timeout value in
milliseconds, and add NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_WDT_FLAG_SET_TIMEOUT to
signify the existence of this new field. When the new flag is included
in the value of wdt_status, the field is used to set a per-channel
timeout to override the per-GPU default.
Add NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_WDT_FLAG_DISABLE_DUMP to disable the long debug
dump when a timed out channel gets recovered by the watchdog. Printing
the dump to serial console takes easily several seconds. (Note that
there is NVGPU_TIMEOUT_FLAG_DISABLE_DUMP about ctxsw timeout separately
for NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_SET_TIMEOUT_EX as well.)
The behaviour of NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_WDT is changed so that either
NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_ENABLE_WDT or NVGPU_IOCTL_CHANNEL_DISABLE_WDT has to
be set. The old behaviour was that other values were silently ignored.
The usage of the global default debugfs-controlled ch_wdt_timeout_ms is
changed so that its value takes effect only for newly opened channels
instead of in realtime. Also, zero value no longer means that the
watchdog is disabled; there is a separate flag for that after all.
gk20a_fifo_recover_tsg used to ignore the value of "verbose" when no
engines were found. Correct this.

We right now allocate a nvgpu managed syncpoint in c->sync and share
that with user space
But to avoid conflicts between user space and kernel space increments
allocate a separate "client managed" syncpoint for User space in c->user_sync
Add new API nvgpu_nvhost_get_syncpt_client_managed() to request a client managed
syncpoint from nvhost.
Note that nvhost/nvgpu do not keep track of MAX/threshold value of this syncpoint
Update gk20a_channel_syncpt_create() to receive a flag to indicate whether a
User space syncpoint is required or not
Unset NVGPU_SUPPORT_USER_SYNCPOINT for gp10b since we don't want to allocate
double syncpoints per channel on that platform
For gv11b, once we move to use user space submits, support for c->sync will be
dropped so we keep using only one syncpoint per channel

The message to tell RM server to unbind channel has to be sent after
client unbinds the channel and before client calls tsg release. The
channel has to belong to a tsg on RM server before client submit a
runlist to remove the channel. Or there's a bare channel problem.
By moving .tsg_unbind_channl one layer lower, gk20a_tsg_unbind_channel()
will be common functions for all chip, and it'll call tsg release after
call .tsg_unbind_channel. So vgpu won't need to worry about tsg was
released before sending msg to RM server.

The idling and unidling of deterministic channels in the
do_idle/do_unidle path assume that each deterministic channel holds a
power reference. This is no longer the case if railgating has been
allowed for a channel via the deterministic options ioctl which also
causes the channel to drop the power ref that it holds otherwise during
its lifetime.
All this is happening inside the deterministic_busy rwsem, which also
guards the ioctl changing those deterministic option states.

Split the ctxsw trace "core" API code into <nvgpu/ctxsw_trace.h>. This
is not perect though since there's some Linuxisms present in the HAL
and as such that code has to be hidden by the ctxsw tracing CONFIG. But
this patch should work for QNX such that it will allow the code to
build as long as CONFIG_GK20A_CTXSW_TRACE is not set.
Also fix the copywrite notice in the ctxsw code present under

Migrate ctxsw_trace_gk20a.c to common/linux/ctxsw_trace.c. This
has been done becasue the ctxsw tracing code is currently too
tightly tied to the Linux OS due to usage of a couple system calls:
- poll()
- mmap()
And general Linux driver framework code. As a result pulling the
logic out of the FECS tracing code is simply too large a scope for
time time being.
Instead the code was just copied as much as possible. The HAL ops
for the FECS code was hidden behind the FECS tracing config so
that the vm_area_struct is not used when QNX does not define said
config. All other non-HAL functions called by the FECS ctxsw
tracing code ha now also been hidden by this config. This is not
pretty but for the time being it seems like the way to go.

Move vm_priv.h to <nvgpu/linux/vm.h> and rename nvgpu_vm_map()
to nvgpu_vm_map_linux(). Also remove a redundant unmap function
from the unmap path. These changes are the beginning of reworking
the nvgpu Linux mapping and unmapping code.
The rest of this patch is just the necessary changes to use the
new map function naming and the new path to the Linux vm header.
Patch Series Goal
-----------------
There's two major goals for this patch series. Note that these
goals are not achieved in this patch. There will be subsequent
patches.
1. Remove all last vestiges of Linux code from common/mm/vm.c
2. Implement map caching in the common/mm/vm.c code
To accomplish this firstly the VM mapping code needs to have the
struct nvgpu_mapped_buf data struct be completely Linux free. That
means implementing an abstraction for this to hold the Linux stuff
that mapped buffers carry about (SGT, dma_buf). This is why the
vm_priv.h code has been moved: it will need to be included by the
<nvgpu/vm.h> header so that the OS specific struct can be pulled
into struct nvgpu_mapped_buf.
Next renaming the nvgpu_vm_map() to nvgpu_vm_map_linux() is in
preparation for adding a new nvgpu_vm_map() that handles the
map caching with nvgpu_mapped_buf. The mapping code is fairly
straight forward: nvgpu_vm_map does OS generic stuff; each OS
then calls this function from an nvgpu_vm_map_<OS>() or the like
that does any OS specific adjustments/management.
Freeing buffers is much more tricky however. The maps are all
reference counted since userspace does not track buffers and
expects us to handle this instead. Ugh! Since there's ref-counts
the free code will require a callback into the OS specific code
since the OS specific code cannot free a buffer directly. THis
make's the path for freeing a buffer quite convoluted.

This change contains a generic cleanup of linux dependent parts of the
dbg_gpu_gk20a.* files. The following changes have been made
1) Moving methods into ioctl_dbg.* inside common/linux/
2) The structures dbg_session_gk20a and dbg_session_channel_data have
been split into two parts. struct device *dev is removed from
struct dbg_session_gk20a and instead packed into struct
dbg_session_gk20a_linux alongwith dbg_session_gk20a and is moved into
ioctl_dbg. dbg_session_gk20a is now rid of any linux dependencies and
remains in dbg_gpu_gk20a. Similarly, struct file is removed from
struct dbg_session_channel_data and is now packed into struct
dbg_session_channel_data_linux alongwith dbg_session_channel_data and
is moved into ioctl_dbg. struct dbg_session_channel_data is now rid of
linux dependencies and remains in dbg_gpu_gk20a.
3) A callback function is added in order to release the
dbg_session_channel_data.

Change the wait for work pending condition to interruptible in the
channel worker thread, as there's no reason to be noninterruptible.
A noninterruptible wait, even one with a timeout, causes the worker to
be printed in the Linux blocked tasks list which is confusing.
Change the cond signal to interruptible to match this.
