* ALSA: ASoC: Check for exact register match in wm97xx_reset()Mark Brown2008-06-16
| | | | | | | | | | To provide added robustness in case an AC97 controller reads back all zeros in error cases check for an exact match when testing to see if resets have brought the codec back. * ALSA: ASoC: Tweak tlv320aicx reg_cache_sizeMark Brown2008-06-13
| | | | | | | | | | | ASoC codec drivers frequently set the register cache size using sizeof() rather than ARRAY_SIZE(). For tlv320aicx either is correct since the registers are 8 bit but update to use ARRAY_SIZE() for clarity. * ALSA: ASoC: Fix register cache size for UDA1380Mark Brown2008-06-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | The register cache size is used by the codec_reg sysfs file which works in terms of the register cache access functions rather than in terms of raw access to the cache so the size specified needs to be in terms of the number of elements. * [ALSA] ASoC: Add WM8990 driverMark Brown2008-06-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The WM8990 is a highly integrated ultra-low power hi-fi codec designed for handsets rich in multimedia features such as mobile TV, digital audio playback and gaming. The bulk of this driver was written by Liam Girdwood with some additional development and updates for new ASoC APIs by me. * [ALSA] ASoC: Add WM8510 driverMark Brown2008-06-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The WM8510 is a mono CODEC with speaker driver optimised for telephony applications, featuring: - 16/20/24/32 bit audio at data rates between 8kHz and 48kHz - On-chip PLL - Dual microphone inputs This driver was originally written by Liam Girdwood with updates from Brett Saunders, Geoffrey Wossum and myself. * [ALSA] ASoC: Add UDA1380 driverPhilipp Zabel2008-05-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The UDA1380 codec is used by the HTC Magician and a number of Samsung reference boards. This driver has had a long out of tree history, having originally been written by Giorgio Padrin and converted to ASoC by Richard Purdie. Since conversion to ASoC most of the work on the driver has been done by Philipp Zabel with some review and updates for new APIs by Liam Girdwood and Mark Brown. * [ALSA] ASoC: Clarify API for bias configurationMark Brown2008-05-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the ASoC core configures the bias levels in the system using a callback on codecs and machines called 'dapm_event', passing it PCI style power levels as SNDRV_CTL_POWER_ constants. This is more obscure than it needs to be and has caused confusion to driver authors, especially given that DAPM is also performing power management. Address this by renaming the callback function to 'set_bias_level' and using constants explicitly representing the off, standby, pre-on and on states which DAPM transitions through. Also unexport the API for setting bias level: there are currently no in-tree users of this API other than the core itself and it is likely that the core would need to be extended to cater for any users. * [ALSA] soc - tlv320aic3x - add GPIO supportDaniel Mack2008-05-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for AIC3x GPIO lines. They can be configured for many possible functions as well as be driven manually. I also introduced i2c read functionality since the GPIO state register has to be read from hardware every time and can not be served from cache. * [ALSA] Remove sound/driver.hTakashi Iwai2008-01-31
| | | | | | | | | | | | This header file exists only for some hacks to adapt alsa-driver tree. It's useless for building in the kernel. Let's move a few lines in it to sound/core.h and remove it. | | | | | | | | | | | | When CONFIG_SND_SOC_CS4270_VD33_ERRATA is set, there was a mismatch between the mclk_ratios[] and cs4270_mode_ratios[] arrays. The two arrays have been merged and code has been shuffled. One side effect is that the cs4270_set_dai_sysclk() and cs4270_set_dai_fmt() functions are available only if I2C has been enabled.
