* kconfig: Mark various internal functions staticJosh Triplett2009-11-15
| | | | | | | | kconfig's keyword hash, lexer, and parser define various functions used only locally. Declare these functions as static, and regenerate the corresponding generated files. Signed-off-by: Josh Triplett <josh@joshtriplett.org>
* kconfig: improve error messages for bad source statementsSam Ravnborg2009-01-02
| | | | | | | | | We now say where we detect the second source of a file, and where we detect a recursively source of the same file. This makes it easier to fix such errors. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Roman Zippel <zippel@linux-m68k.org>
* kconfig: scripts/kconfig/zconf.l: add %option noinputAdrian Bunk2008-07-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gcc 4.3 correctly determines that input() is unused and gives the following warning: <-- snip --> ... HOSTCC scripts/kconfig/zconf.tab.o scripts/kconfig/lex.zconf.c:1628: warning: ‘input’ defined but not used ... <-- snip --> Fix it by adding %option noinput to scripts/kconfig/zconf.l and regeneration of scripts/kconfig/lex.zconf.c_shipped. * kconfig: add named choice groupRoman Zippel2008-04-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | As choice dependency are now fully checked, it's quite easy to add support for named choices. This lifts the restriction that a choice value can only appear once, although it still has to be within the same group, but multiple choices can be joined by giving them a name. While at it I cleaned up a little the choice type logic to simplify it a bit. Signed-off-by: Roman Zippel <zippel@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>

* kbuild: update _shipped files for kconfig syntax cleanupSam Ravnborg2007-10-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Update _shipped files so regular user does not need to have bison/flex/gperf installed. Code changes were contained in previous commit. Used following program versions (on fedora): bison (GNU Bison) 2.3 flex 2.5.33 GNU gperf 3.0.2 Cc: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I have found small bug in mconf, when you run it without any argument it will sigsegv. Without patch: $ scripts/kconfig/mconf Segmentation fault With patch: $ scripts/kconfig/mconf can't find file (null) Signed-off-by: Marcin Garski <mgarski@post.pl> Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>
* kconfig: add symbol option config syntaxRoman Zippel2006-06-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the general framework to the parser to define options for config symbols with a syntax like: config FOO option bar[="arg"] Signed-off-by: Roman Zippel <zippel@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>
* [PATCH] kconfig: improve error handling in the parserRoman Zippel2005-11-09
| | | | | | | | | | Add a few error tokens to the parser to catch common errors and print more descriptive error messages. * [PATCH] kconfig: simplify symbol type parsingRoman Zippel2005-11-09
| | | | | | | | | | This simplifies the parser a bit by merging the various symbol types into a single token and adds the type to the keyword hash. * [PATCH] kconfig: use gperf for kconfig keywordsRoman Zippel2005-11-09
| | | | | | | | | | Use gperf to generate a hash for the kconfig keywords. This greatly reduces the size of the generated scanner and makes it easier to extend kconfig. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
