* [TCP] Westwood: reset RTT min after FRTOLuca De Cicco2006-06-18
| | | | | | | | | RTT_min is updated each time a timeout event occurs in order to cope with hard handovers in wireless scenarios such as UMTS. * [TCP] Westwood: bandwidth filter startupLuca De Cicco2006-06-18
| | | | | | | | | | The bandwidth estimate filter is now initialized with the first sample in order to have better performances in the case of small file transfers. * [TCP] Westwood: fix first sampleStephen Hemminger2006-06-18
| | | | | | | | Need to update send sequence number tracking after first ack. Rework of patch from Luca De Cicco. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@dxpl.pdx.osdl.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [TCP]: Minimum congestion window consolidation.Stephen Hemminger2006-06-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the TCP congestion methods all just use ssthresh as the minimum congestion window on decrease. Rather than duplicating the code, just have that be the default if that handle in the ops structure is not set. Minor behaviour change to TCP compound. It probably wants to use this (ssthresh) as lower bound, rather than ssthresh/2 because the latter causes undershoot on loss. * [INET_DIAG]: Rename tcp_diag.[ch] to inet_diag.[ch]Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo2005-08-29
| | | | | | | | Next changeset will introduce net/ipv4/tcp_diag.c, moving the code that was put transitioanlly in inet_diag.c. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@mandriva.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [TCPDIAG]: Just rename everything to inet_diagArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2005-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | Next changeset will rename tcp_diag.[ch] to inet_diag.[ch]. I'm taking this longer route so as to easy review, making clear the changes made all along the way. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@mandriva.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [ICSK]: Move TCP congestion avoidance members to icskArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2005-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This changeset basically moves tcp_sk()->{ca_ops,ca_state,etc} to inet_csk(), minimal renaming/moving done in this changeset to ease review. Most of it is just changes of struct tcp_sock * to struct sock * parameters. With this we move to a state closer to two interesting goals: 1. Generalisation of net/ipv4/tcp_diag.c, becoming inet_diag.c, being used for any INET transport protocol that has struct inet_hashinfo and are derived from struct inet_connection_sock. Keeps the userspace API, that will just not display DCCP sockets, while newer versions of tools can support DCCP. 2. INET generic transport pluggable Congestion Avoidance infrastructure, using the current TCP CA infrastructure with DCCP. * [TCP]: Add TCP Westwood congestion control module.Stephen Hemminger2005-06-23
This is the existing 2.6.12 Westwood code moved from tcp_input to the new congestion framework. A lot of the inline functions have been eliminated to try and make it clearer. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
