* RDS: Remove dead struct from rds.hAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | flows are an obsolete date type. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
* RDS: rds.h: Replace u_int[size]_t with uint[size]_tAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | | Replace e.g. u_int32_t types with the more common uint32_t. Reported-by: Matthew Wilcox <willy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
* RDS: Add rds.h to exported headers listAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | | Also, a number of changes were made based on the assumption that rds.h wasn't exported, so roll these back. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
* RDS: Implement masked atomic operationsAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | | | | Add two CMSGs for masked versions of cswp and fadd. args struct modified to use a union for different atomic op type's arguments. Change IB to do masked atomic ops. Atomic op type in rds_message similarly unionized. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
* RDS: Add flag for silent ops. Do atomic op before RDMAAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a flag to the API so users can indicate they want silent operations. This is needed because silent ops cannot be used with USE_ONCE MRs, so we can't just assume silent. Also, change send_xmit to do atomic op before rdma op if both are present, and centralize the hairy logic to determine if we want to attempt silent, or not. * RDS: Implement atomic operationsAndy Grover2010-09-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Implement a CMSG-based interface to do FADD and CSWP ops. Alter send routines to handle atomic ops. Add atomic counters to stats. Add xmit_atomic() to struct rds_transport Inline rds_ib_send_unmap_rdma into unmap_rm Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
* net: rds: remove duplication type definitionsChangli Gao2010-08-23
| | | | | | | | __be* are defined in linux/types.h now, and in fact, rds.h isn't exported to user space even. Signed-off-by: Changli Gao <xiaosuo@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: use __packed annotationEric Dumazet2010-06-03
| | | | | | | | | | cleanup patch. Use new __packed annotation in net/ and include/ (except netfilter) Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* RDS: Add GET_MR_FOR_DEST sockoptAndy Grover2009-10-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | RDS currently supports a GET_MR sockopt to establish a memory region (MR) for a chunk of memory. However, the fastreg method ties a MR to a particular destination. The GET_MR_FOR_DEST sockopt allows the remote machine to be specified, and thus support for fastreg (aka FRWRs). Note that this patch does *not* do all of this - it simply implements the new sockopt in terms of the old one, so applications can begin to use the new sockopt in preparation for cutover to FRWRs. * RDS: Add TCP transport to RDSAndy Grover2009-08-23
| | | | | | | | | | | This code allows RDS to be tunneled over a TCP connection. RDMA operations are disabled when using TCP transport, but this frees RDS from the IB/RDMA stack dependency, and allows it to be used with standard Ethernet adapters, or in a VM. * RDS: Add userspace headerAndy Grover2009-02-27
Applications include this header in order to use RDS sockets. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
