The driver is used only on Exynos based boards with DTS support.
After removal of board file support from max77686 and max77802 regulator
drivers, the MFD driver can be converted to DTS-only version. This
simplifies a little the code:
1. No dead (unused) entries in platform_data structure.
2. More code removed.
3. Regulator driver does not depend on allocated memory
from MFD driver.
4. It makes also easier extending the regulator driver.
Add to the max77686 MFD driver dependency on CONFIG_OF because without
DTS the regulator drivers (max77686 and max77802) won't bind.

After the Exynos Power Management Unit (PMU) driver was converted
to the platform device driver in commit 14fc8b93d47323561edf5d482
("ARM: EXYNOS: Add platform driver support for Exynos PMU") and
then PMU device nodes added to Exynos4 DTs in commit
7b9613aca42a5522d269 ("ARM: dts: add PMU syscon node for exynos4")
the mipi video phy driver started failing probing, due to overlapping
memory mapped register region resources.
Now all the Exynos peripheral devices which have registers in the PMU
region are supposed to use the regmap provided by the syscon driver.
So support for regmap is added in this patch, this unfortunately
creates yet another indirection into that supposedly trivial driver.
The additional mutex is required because single register is used by
PHY pairs (they share bit in a register). An improvement here could
be to allow a PHY instance be created with a driver custom mutex,
which would then be common for each PHY pair. This would eliminate
one of 3 mutexes which need to be taken in the phy_power_on/
phy_power_off code path. However, I tried to keep this bug fix patch
possibly simple.
This change is needed to make MIPI DSI displays and MIPI CSI-2
camera sensors working again on Exynos4 boards.

Current tmio_mmc driver is using tmio_mmc_data for driver/platform
specific data/callback, and it is needed for tmio_mmc_host_probe()
function. Because of this style, include/linux/mfd/tmio.h header has
tmio driver/framework specific data which is not needed from platform.
This patch adds new tmio_mmc_host_alloc/free() as cleanup preparation.
tmio driver specific data/callback will be implemented in tmio_mmc_host,
and platform specific data/callback will be implemented in tmio_mmc_data
in this cleanup.

TSC interrupt handler had udelay to avoid reporting of false pen-up
interrupt to user space. This patch implements workaround suggesting in
Advisory 1.0.31 of silicon errata for am335x, thus eliminating udelay and
touchscreen lag. This also improves performance of touchscreen and
eliminates sudden jump of cursor at touch release.
IDLECONFIG and CHARGECONFIG registers are to be configured with same values
in order to eliminate false pen-up events. This workaround may result in
false pen-down to be detected, hence considerable charge step delay needs
to be added. The charge delay is set to 0xB000 (in terms of ADC clock
cycles) by default.
TSC steps are disabled at the end of every sampling cycle and EOS bit is
set. Once the EOS bit is set, the TSC steps need to be re-enabled to begin
next sampling cycle.

Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai:
"This became a fairly large pull request. In addition to the usual
driver updates / fixes, there have been a high amount of cleanups in
ASoC area, as well as control API helpers and kernel documentations
fixes touching through the whole tree.
In the driver side, the biggest changes are the support for new Intel
SoC found on new x86 machines, and the updates of FireWire dice and
oxfw drivers.
Some remarkable items are below:
ALSA core:
- PCM mmap code cleanup, removal of arch-dependent codes
- PCM xrun injection support
- PCM hwptr tracepoint support
- Refactoring of snd_pcm_action(), simplification of PCM locking
- Robustified sequecner auto-load functionality
- New control API helpers and lots of cleanups along with them
- Lots of kerneldoc fixes and cleanups
USB-audio:
- The mixer resume code was largely rewritten, and the devices with
quirks are resumed properly.
- New hardware support: Focusrite Scarlett, Digidesign Mbox1,
Denon/Marantz DACs, Zoom R16/24
FireWire:
- DICE driver updates with better duplex and sync support, including
MIDI support
- New OXFW driver for Oxford Semiconductor FW970/971 chipset,
including the previous LaCie Speakers device. Fullduplex and MIDI
support included as well as DICE driver.
HD-audio:
- Refactoring the driver-caps quirk handling in snd-hda-intel
- More consistent control names representing the topology better
- Fixups: HP mute LED with ALC268 codec, Ideapad S210 built-in mic
fix, ASUS Z99He laptop EAPD
ASoC:
- Conversion of AC'97 drivers to use regmap, bringing us closer to
the removal of the ASoC level I/O code
- Clean up a lot of old drivers that were open coding things that
have subsequently been implemented in the core
- Some DAPM performance improvements
- Removal of the now seldom used CODEC mutex
- Lots of updates for the newer Intel SoC support, including support
for the DSP and some Cherrytrail and Braswell machine drivers
- Support for Samsung boards using rt5631 as the CODEC
- Removal of the obsolete AFEB9260 machine driver
- Driver support for the TI TS3A227E headset driver used in some
Chrombeooks
Others:
- ASIHPI driver update and cleanups
- Lots of dev_*() printk conversions
- Lots of trivial cleanups for the codes spotted by Coccinelle"

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/regulator
Pull regulator updates from Mark Brown:
"The main thing this time around is support for suspend mode
configuration from DT which will enable some very useful power savings
on systems where we can't rely on the bootloader configuration. We
still don't really support dynamic configuration of this at runtime,
that may come later if there is any demand.
Summary:
- Support for specifying the target regulation mode and voltage
during system suspend via DT, enabling power savings in that mode.
- Reduce the default verbosity of the logging on boot, improving boot
times especially for systems with very large numbers of regulators.
- Lots of cleanups and fixes for Maxim PMIC drivers.
- New driver for Richtek RT5033"

the regulator driver and Device Tree source files. Also, remove standby

Add helper function to write u32 to registers, if we want to put u32
value to 4 continuous register, this can help us reduce tedious work.
