* [PATCH] lockd endianness annotationsAl Viro2006-12-13
| | | | | | | | | Annotated, all places switched to keeping status net-endian. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] knfsd: export nsm_local_state to user space via sysctlOlaf Kirch2006-10-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Every NLM call includes the client's NSM state. Currently, the Linux client always reports 0 - which seems not to cause any problems, but is not what the protocol says. This patch exposes the kernel's internal variable to user space via a sysctl, which can be set at system boot time by statd. * [PATCH] knfsd: lockd: optionally use hostnames for identifying peersOlaf Kirch2006-10-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds the nsm_use_hostnames sysctl and module param. If set, lockd will use the client's name (as given in the NLM arguments) to find the NSM handle. This makes recovery work when the NFS peer is multi-homed, and the reboot notification arrives from a different IP than the original lock calls. * [PATCH] knfsd: lockd: make the nsm upcalls use the nsm_handleOlaf Kirch2006-10-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the statd upcalls to use the nsm_handle This means that we only register each host once with statd, rather than registering each host/vers/protocol triple. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
