* [PATCH] Numerous fixes to kernel-doc info in source files.Robert P. J. Day2007-02-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A variety of (mostly) innocuous fixes to the embedded kernel-doc content in source files, including: * make multi-line initial descriptions single line * denote some function names, constants and structs as such * change erroneous opening '/*' to '/**' in a few places * reword some text for clarity Signed-off-by: Robert P. * [PATCH] ktime: Fix signed / unsigned mismatch in ktime_to_nsThomas Gleixner2006-12-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | The 32 bit implementation of ktime_to_ns returns unsigned value, while the 64 bit version correctly returns an signed value. There is no current user affected by this, but it has to be fixed, as ktime values can be negative. * [PATCH] prevent timespec/timeval to ktime_t overflowThomas Gleixner2006-09-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Frank v. Waveren pointed out that on 64bit machines the timespec to ktime_t conversion might overflow. This is also true for timeval to ktime_t conversions. This breaks a "sleep inf" on 64bit machines. While a timespec/timeval with tx.sec = MAX_LONG is valid by specification the internal representation of ktime_t is based on nanoseconds. The conversion of seconds to nanoseconds overflows for seconds values >= (MAX_LONG / NSEC_PER_SEC). Check the seconds argument to the conversion and limit it to the maximum time which can be represented by ktime_t. * [PATCH] ktime/hrtimer: fix kernel-doc commentsRandy Dunlap2006-06-25
| | | | | | | | Fix kernel-doc formatting in ktime.h and hrtimer.[ch] files. Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] hrtimers: remove DEFINE_KTIME and ktime_to_clock_t()Roman Zippel2006-03-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that it_real_value is gone, the last user of DEFINE_KTIME and ktime_to_clock_t are also gone, so remove it before someone starts using it again. * [PATCH] hrtimer: fix multiple macro argument expansionRoman Zippel2006-02-15
| | | | | | | | | | | For two macros the arguments were expanded twice, change them to inline functions to avoid it. * [PATCH] hrtimers: add back lost credit linesThomas Gleixner2006-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | At some point we added credits to people who actively helped to bring k/hr-timers along. This was lost in the big code revamp. Add it back. * [hrtimer] Change resolution storage to ktime_t formatThomas Gleixner2006-01-12
| | | | | | | | | | Change the storage format of the per base resolution to ktime_t to make it easier accessible in the hrtimers code. Change the resolution from (NSEC_PER_SEC/HZ) to TICK_NSEC as Roman pointed out. TICK_NSEC is closer to the real resolution. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
* [PATCH] hrtimer: hrtimer core codeThomas Gleixner2006-01-10
| | | | | | | | | | hrtimer subsystem core. It is initialized at bootup and expired by the timer interrupt, but is otherwise not utilized by any other subsystem yet. * [PATCH] hrtimer: introduce ktime_t time formatThomas Gleixner2006-01-10
- introduce ktime_t: nanosecond-resolution time format. - eliminate the plain s64 scalar type, and always use the union. This simplifies the arithmetics. Idea from Roman Zippel.
