| | | | | | | | | | Patch from Lennert Buytenhek Move the uengine loader from arch/arm/mach-ixp2000 to arch/arm/common so that ixp23xx can use it too. Signed-off-by: Lennert Buytenhek <buytenh@wantstofly.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Collect Primecell PL01x-based debug implementations togetherRussell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | | | Several ARM machine implementations used a PL01x primecell compatible serial port for debugging purposes, and indepdently implemented the low level debug macros every time. Provide a common implementation and convert these implementations to use this version. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Collect 8250-based debug implementations togetherRussell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | | | Several ARM machine implementations used an 8250 compatible port for debugging purposes, and indepdently implemented the low level debug macros every time. Provide a common implementation and convert these implementations to use this version. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Adapt vic.c to allow for multiple VICs in a system.Russell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | Some SoCs have multiple VIC devices. Adapt the generic vic code to allow multiple implementations to be handled. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Separate VIC (vectored interrupt controller) support from VersatileRussell King2006-01-13
| | | | | | | Other machines may wish to make use of the VIC support code, so move it to arch/arm/common. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move asm/hardware/clock.h to linux/clk.hRussell King2006-01-07
| | | | | | | This is needs to be visible to other architectures using the AMBA bus and peripherals. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move AMBA include files to include/linux/amba/Russell King2006-01-07
| | | | | | | | | Since the ARM AMBA bus is used on MIPS as well as ARM, we need to make the bus available for other architectures to use. Move the AMBA include files from include/asm-arm/hardware/ to include/linux/amba/ Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3228/1: SharpSL: Move PM code to arch/arm/commonRichard Purdie2006-01-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie This patch moves a large chunk of the sharpsl_pm driver to arch/arm/common so that it can be reused on other devices such as the SL-5500 (collie). It also abstracts some functions from the core into the machine and platform specific parts of the driver to aid reuse. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove clk_use()/clk_unuse()Russell King2006-01-03
| | | | | | | | | It seems that clk_use() and clk_unuse() are additional complexity which isn't required anymore. Remove them from the clock framework to avoid the additional confusion which they cause, and update all ARM machine types except for OMAP. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Add additional documentation to the clock source frameworkRussell King2006-01-03
| | | | | | | | It seems that there's some confusion over how the clock source framework should be used. Add some additional comments to explain the ambiguous areas. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [SERIAL] Fix status reporting with PL011 serial driverRussell King2005-11-19
| | | | | | | | | The receiver status register reports latched error conditions, which must be cleared by writing to it. However, the data register reports unlatched conditions which are associated with the current character. Use the data register to interpret error status rather than the RSR. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Include asm/hardware.h instead of asm/arch/hardware.hRussell King2005-11-16
| | | | | | Rationalise hardware.h include. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3093/1: SharpSL PCMCIA Updates for Cxx00 modelsRichard Purdie2005-11-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie The Sharp SL-Cxx00 models have a combined power control for the SD and CF slot 0. This patch adds hooks to the scoop driver to allow machines to provide a custom control function for this and such a function is added for spitz/akita/borzoi. It also moves the gpio init code into the machine files as this is machine dependent and differs between some models. A couple of warnings when compiling for collie are also fixed. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM SMP] Add Realview MPcore SMP supportRussell King2005-11-07
| | | | | | | Add SMP support for the MPcore tile fitted to the Realview ARM platform. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Add support for ARM RealView boardCatalin Marinas2005-10-31
| | | | | | | Support for RealView EB. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 2962/1: scoop: Allow GPIO pin suspend state to be specifiedRichard Purdie2005-10-10
| | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie Allow the GPIO pin suspend states to be specified for SCOOP devices. This is needed for correct operation on the spitz platform. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM SMP] Add timer/watchdog defines for MPCoreRussell King2005-09-14
| | | | | | Actually add the file this time. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 2882/1: pxa2xx_sharpsl: Update PCMCIA driver to support variety of new ↵Richard Purdie2005-09-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | hardware Patch from Richard Purdie This patch updates the PCMCIA pxa2xx_sharpsl driver to support multiple scoop devices by adding a scoop to pcmcia slot mapping structure. It adds platform support for poodle, is known to work on spitz (which is dual slot) and should also support collie with a minor amount of further work. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Add support for ARM GICRussell King2005-08-18

* [PATCH] ARM: Convert ARM timer implementations to use readl/writelRussell King2005-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | Convert ARMs timer implementations to use readl/writel instead of accessing the registers via a struct. People have recently asked if accessing timers via a structure is the "right way" and its not the Linux way. So fix this code to conform to "The Linux Way"(tm). Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
* [PATCH] ARM: AMBA CLCD: X resolutions must be multiples of 16Russell King2005-04-28
| | | | | | | We ignore the bottom 4 bits of the X resolution, so we should round X resolutions up to the nearest multiple of 16. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: Fix AMBA CLCD fb driver for 32bppRussell King2005-04-28
| | | | | | | | | | | We were supporting 24bpp. However, the pixel organisation in memory was 0RGB, so it was 24bpp in 32bit words. This means we're actually supporting 32bpp and not 24bpp. Also, add a check to ensure that we don't exceed the available framebuffer when changing display resolutions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: Fix AMBA CLCD fb driver for 1bpp/STN mono panelsRussell King2005-04-28
| | | | | | | Fix the AMBA CLCD framebuffer driver for 1bpp modes and STN monochrome LCD panels. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: Add further explaination for clk_get()Russell King2005-04-27
| | | | | | | clk_get() comments can be confusing. Add extra explaination of the dev and id parameters to ensure correct usage. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
