* [ARM] 4564/1: Add tagged list support for Acorn RiscPC's uncompress codeAlan Hourihane2007-10-12
| | | | | | | | | | | arch_decomp_setup() does not understand the new tagged lists for parameter setup. It's fixed in using the older param struct. This patch adds support for tagged lists and allows the older param struct too. Signed-off-by: Alan Hourihane <alanh@fairlite.demon.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Use new get_irqnr_preambleRussell King2007-05-12
| | | | | | | Use the new get_irqnr_preamble macro to move the address of the IRQ controller outside the IRQ handling loop. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 4185/2: entry: introduce get_irqnr_preamble and arch_ret_to_userDan Williams2007-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | get_irqnr_preamble allows machines to take some action before entering the get_irqnr_and_base loop. On iop we enable cp6 access. arch_ret_to_user is added to the userspace return path to allow individual architectures to take actions, like disabling coprocessor access, before the final return to userspace. Per Nicolas Pitre's note, there is no need to cp_wait on the return to user as the latency to return is sufficient. * [ARM] Move FLUSH_BASE macros to asm/arch/memory.hRussell King2006-04-07
| | | | | | | | | FLUSH_BASE must be visible to arch/arm/mm/init.c in order for the memory region to be setup. Move these definitions from asm-arm/arch-*/hardware.h into asm-arm/arch-*/memory.h where mm stuff can see them. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Fix decompressor serial IO to give CRLF not LFCRRussell King2006-03-28
| | | | | | | | | As per the corresponding change to the serial drivers, arrange for ARM decompressors to give CRLF. Move the common putstr code into misc.c such that machines only need to supply "putc" and "flush" functions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Collect 8250-based debug implementations togetherRussell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | | | Several ARM machine implementations used an 8250 compatible port for debugging purposes, and indepdently implemented the low level debug macros every time. Provide a common implementation and convert these implementations to use this version. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move HZ definition into KconfigRussell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | Move the HZ definition into Kconfig, and set appropriate defaults for platforms. Remove mostly empty asm/arch/param.h include file. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Cleanup ARM includesRussell King2006-01-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | arch/arm/kernel/entry-armv.S has contained a comment suggesting that asm/hardware.h and asm/arch/irqs.h should be moved into the asm/arch/entry-macro.S include. So move the includes to these two files as required. Add missing includes (asm/hardware.h, asm/io.h) to asm/arch/system.h includes which use those facilities, and remove asm/io.h from kernel/process.c. Remove other unnecessary includes from arch/arm/kernel, arch/arm/mm and arch/arm/mach-footbridge. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Include asm/hardware.h instead of asm/arch/hardware.hRussell King2005-11-16
| | | | | | Rationalise hardware.h include. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3060/1: allow constants found in asm/memory.h to be used in asm codeNicolas Pitre2005-10-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Nicolas Pitre This patch allows for assorted type of cleanups by letting assembly code use the same set of defines for constant values and avoid duplicated definitions that might not always be in sync, or that might simply be confusing due to the different names for the same thing. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 1/4: Move include of asm/hardware.h to asm-arm/arch-*/io.hRussell King2005-10-28
| | | | | | | Including asm/hardware.h into asm/io.h can cause #define clashes between platform specific definitions and driver local definitions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] arm/rpc iomem annotationsAl Viro2005-09-29

* [PATCH] ARM: cleanup vmalloc start/offset macrosRussell King2005-05-03
| | | | | | | | VMALLOC_START and VMALLOC_OFFSET are common between all ARM machine classes. Move them into include/asm-arm/pgtable.h, but allow a machine class to override them if required. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: fix debug macrosRussell King2005-04-17
| | | | | | | Fix debug EBSA285 and RiscPC debugging macros to detect whether the MMU is enabled. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
