* hfsplus: convert the extents_lock in a mutexMatthias Kaehlcke2008-07-25
| | | | | | | | | | Apple Extended HFS file system: The semaphore extents lock is used as a mutex. Convert it to the mutex API. * fs/hfsplus/: proper externsAdrian Bunk2008-04-29
| | | | | | | | | Add proper extern declarations for two structs in fs/hfsplus/hfsplus_fs.h Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Cc: Roman Zippel <zippel@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* iget: stop HFSPLUS from using iget() and read_inode()David Howells2008-02-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Stop the HFSPLUS filesystem from using iget() and read_inode(). Replace hfsplus_read_inode() with hfsplus_iget(), and call that instead of iget(). hfsplus_iget() then uses iget_locked() directly and returns a proper error code instead of an inode in the event of an error. hfsplus_fill_super() returns any error incurred when getting the root inode. * HFS+: add custom dentry hash and comparison operationsDuane Griffin2007-07-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add custom dentry hash and comparison operations for HFS+ filesystems that are case-insensitive and/or do automatic unicode decomposition. The new operations reuse the existing HFS+ ASCII to unicode conversion, unicode decomposition and case folding functionality. * [PATCH] BLOCK: Move common FS-specific ioctls to linux/fs.h [try #6]David Howells2006-09-30
| | | | | | | | | | | Move common FS-specific ioctls from linux/ext2_fs.h to linux/fs.h as FS_IOC_* and FS_IOC32_* and have the users of them use those as a base. Also move the GETFLAGS/SETFLAGS flags to linux/fs.h as FS_*_FL macros, and then have the other users use them as a base. * [PATCH] mark address_space_operations constChristoph Hellwig2006-06-28
| | | | | | | | | | Same as with already do with the file operations: keep them in .rodata and prevents people from doing runtime patching. * [PATCH] hfs: set correct ctimeRoman Zippel2006-01-18
| | | | | | | | | | Read the correct ctime from disk (it was written but never read for some reason). Read also creation date, which is used in the next patch. * [PATCH] hfs: add HFSX supportDavid Elliott2006-01-18
| | | | | | | | Add support for HFSX, which allows for case-sensitive filenames. Signed-off-by: Roman Zippel <zippel@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] fs/hfsplus/: remove the hfsplus_inode_check() debug functionAdrian Bunk2006-01-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the hfsplus_inode_check() debug function. It also removes the now obsolete last_inode_cnt and inode_cnt from struct hfsplus_sb_info. * [PATCH] hfsplus: don't modify journaled volumeRoman Zippel2005-11-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Access to a journaled HFS+ volume is not officially supported under Linux, so mount such a volume read-only, but users can override this behaviour using the "force" mount option. The minimum requirement to relax this check is to at least check that the journal is empty and so nothing needs to be replayed to make sure the volume is consistent. * [PATCH] changing CONFIG_LOCALVERSION rebuilds too much, for no good reasonOlaf Hering2005-11-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes almost all inclusions of linux/version.h. The 3 #defines are unused in most of the touched files. A few drivers use the simple KERNEL_VERSION(a,b,c) macro, which is unfortunatly in linux/version.h. There are also lots of #ifdef for long obsolete kernels, this was not touched. In a few places, the linux/version.h include was move to where the LINUX_VERSION_CODE was used. quilt vi `find * -type f -name "*.[ch]"|xargs grep -El '(UTS_RELEASE|LINUX_VERSION_CODE|KERNEL_VERSION|linux/version.h)'|grep -Ev '(/(boot|coda|drm)/|~$)'` search pattern: /UTS_RELEASE\|LINUX_VERSION_CODE\|KERNEL_VERSION\|linux\/\(utsname\|version\).h Signed-off-by: Olaf Hering <olh@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
