| | | | | | | | This patch adds a check for overlap of extents and cuts short the new extent to be inserted, if there is a chance of overlap. Signed-off-by: Amit Arora <aarora@in.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: "Theodore Ts'o" <tytso@mit.edu>

* header cleaning: don't include smp_lock.h when not usedRandy Dunlap2007-05-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | Remove includes of <linux/smp_lock.h> where it is not used/needed. Suggested by Al Viro. Builds cleanly on x86_64, i386, alpha, ia64, powerpc, sparc, sparc64, and arm (all 59 defconfigs). | | | | | | | | | | Removes all inline keywords, since the compiler will make static functions inline when it is appropriate. | | | | | | | | | | | Fix a nit in ext4_ext_calc_credits_for_insert(). Besides, credits for the new root are already added in the index split accounting. * [PATCH] ext4_ext_split(): remove dead codeAdrian Bunk2006-12-07
| | | | | | | | | | The Coverity checker noted that this was dead code, since in all places above in this function, "err" is immediately checked. * [PATCH] ext4: removesector_t bits checkMingming Cao2006-10-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously when in-kernel ext4 block type is sector_t, it's only 4 bits long under some 32bit arch (when CONFIG_LBD is not on). So we need to check the size of sector_t before we read 48bit long on-disk blocks to in-kernel blocks. These checks are unnecessary now as we changed the in-kernel blocks to unsigned longlong. * [PATCH] ext4: blk_type from sector_t to unsigned long longMingming Cao2006-10-11
| | | | | | | | | | | Change ext4 in-kernel block type (ext4_fsblk_t) from sector_t to unsigned long long. Remove ext4 block type string micro E3FSBLK, replaced with "%llu" [akpm@osdl.org: build fix] Signed-off-by: Mingming Cao <cmm@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Dave Kleikamp <shaggy@austin.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] ext4: uninitialised extent handlingSuparna Bhattacharya2006-10-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | Make it possible to add file preallocation support in future as an RO_COMPAT feature by recognizing uninitialized extents as holes and limiting extent length to keep the top bit of ee_len free for marking uninitialized extents.
