* 9p: Use kthread_stop instead of sending a SIGKILL.Eric W. Biederman2007-02-18
| | | | | | | | | Since the kthread api does not bump the reference count on processes that tracked it is not safe allow user space to kill the threads, as I still retain a pointer to the task_struct. * [PATCH] 9p: fix bogus return code checks during initializationEric Van Hensbergen2007-01-26
| | | | | | | | | | There is a simple logic error in init_v9fs - the return code checks are reversed. This patch fixes the return code and adds some messages to prevent module initialization from failing silently. * [PATCH] v9fs: return the correct error when interrupted by signalLatchesar Ionkov2006-06-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | If a signal interrupts the user process, v9fs sends a flush request to the file server and waits for its response. It error code is incorrectly set to the error code of the flush message instead of ERESTARTSYS. The patch sets the error code to the correct value. * [PATCH] v9fs: signal handling fixesLatchesar Ionkov2006-05-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Multiple races can happen when v9fs is interrupted by a signal and Tflush message is sent to the server. After v9fs sends Tflush it doesn't wait until it receives Rflush, and possibly the response of the original message. This behavior may confuse v9fs what fids are allocated by the file server. This patch fixes the races and the fid allocation. * [PATCH] convert fs/9p/ to mutexes, fix locking bugsIngo Molnar2006-03-23

* [PATCH] v9fs: fix corner cases when flushing requestLatchesar Ionkov2006-02-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When v9fs_mux_rpc sends a 9P message, it may be put in the queue of unsent request. If the user process receives a signal, v9fs_mux_rpc sets the request error to ERREQFLUSH and assigns NULL to request's send message. If the message was still in the unsent queue, v9fs_write_work would produce an oops while processing it. The patch makes sure that requests that are being flushed are moved to the pending requests queue safely. If a request is being flushed, don't remove it from the list of pending requests even if it receives a reply before the flush is acknoledged. The request will be removed during from the Rflush handler (v9fs_mux_flush_cb). * [PATCH] v9fs: handle kthread_create failure, minor bugfixesLatchesar Ionkov2006-01-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - remove unnecessary -ENOMEM assignments - return correct value when buf_check_size for second time in a buffer - handle failures when create_workqueue and kthread_create are called - use kzalloc instead of kmalloc/memset 0 - v9fs_str_copy and v9fs_str_compare were buggy, were used only in one place, correct the logic and move it to the place it is used.
