* NET: usb: Adding URB_ZERO_PACKET flag to usbnet.cElina Pasheva2010-04-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds setting of the urb transfer flag URB_ZERO_PACKET before submitting an urb for drivers that have requested it (by advertising flag FLAG_SEND_ZLP). The modification is in usbnet.c function usbnet_start_xmit(). This patch only adds the zero length flag. A subsequent patch will address the buggy code we found when devices do not advertise FLAG_SEND_ZLP in which case there is a possibility of transferring packets with non-deterministic length. This patch has been tested on kernel-2.6.34-rc3. This patch has been checked against net-2.6 tree. * Add non-Virtex5 support for LL TEMAC driverJohn Linn2010-04-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for using the LL TEMAC Ethernet driver on non-Virtex 5 platforms by adding support for accessing the Soft DMA registers as if they were memory mapped instead of solely through the DCR's (available on the Virtex 5). The patch also updates the driver so that it runs on the MicroBlaze. The changes were tested on the PowerPC 440, PowerPC 405, and the MicroBlaze platforms. * l2tp: Split pppol2tp patch into separate l2tp and ppp partsJames Chapman2010-04-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch splits the pppol2tp driver into separate L2TP and PPP parts to prepare for L2TPv3 support. In L2TPv3, protocols other than PPP can be carried, so this split creates a common L2TP core that will handle the common L2TP bits which protocol support modules such as PPP will use. Note that the existing pppol2tp module is split into l2tp_core and l2tp_ppp by this change. There are no feature changes here. Internally, however, there are significant changes, mostly to handle the separation of PPP-specific data from the L2TP session and to provide hooks in the core for modules like PPP to access. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves the existing pppol2tp driver from drivers/net into a new net/l2tp directory, which is where the upcoming L2TPv3 code will live. The existing CONFIG_PPPOL2TP config option is left in its current place to avoid "make oldconfig" issues when an existing pppol2tp user takes this change. (This is the same approach used for the pppoatm driver, which moved to net/atm.) There are no code changes. The existing drivers/net/pppol2tp.c is simply moved to net/l2tp.
