When adding a station fails in
iwl_restore_stations, the driver treats it
like a successful station add and sends a
link quality command, when it it shouldn't.
This patch fixes one of the potential
sources for kernel warnings like this one:

The ucode16 option is still very much work in
progress, so there's no need to ask any users
about it. Remove the option and code for now,
we'll put it back when it's actually working.

Shadow registers in the device are meant to
allow the driver to update certain device
registers without needing to wake up all
components of the device. However, using
this feature in the device causes
communication between the driver and the
device to become unreliable, resulting in
host command timeouts.
Disable this feature by default till a fix is
available for the bug.

The logic that allows to have a short TFD queue was completely wrong.
We do maintain 256 Transmit Frame Descriptors, but they point to
recycled buffers. We used to attach and de-attach different TFDs for
the same buffer and it worked since they pointed to the same buffer.
Also zero the number of BDs after unmapping a TFD. This seems not
necessary since we don't reclaim the same TFD twice, but I like
housekeeping.

When BT traffic load changes from its
previous state, a new LQ command needs to be
sent down to the firmware. This needs to
be done only once per change. The state
variable that keeps track of this change is
last_bt_traffic_load. However, it was not
being updated when the change had been
handled. Not updating this variable was
causing a flood of advanced BT config
commands to be sent to the firmware. Fix
this.

doesn't set the priv data of the driver to NULL.
at the driver unload stage the driver doesn't remove the NAPI context, and

When Receive Descriptor Empty happens, rxdesc pointer of the driver
and actual next descriptor of the controller may be mismatch.

When calculating the number of slots required for a packet header, the code
was reserving too many slots if the header crossed a page boundary. Since
netbk_gop_skb copies the header to the start of the page, the count of
slots required for the header should be based solely on the header size.
This problem is easy to reproduce if a VIF is bridged to a USB 3G modem
device as the skb->data value always starts near the end of the first page.

DMA support has finally made its way to the top of the TODO list, having
realised that a Geode using MMIO can't keep up with two ADSL2+ lines
each running at 21Mb/s.
This patch fixes a couple of bugs in the DMA support in the driver, so
once the corresponding FPGA update is complete and tested everything
should work properly.
We weren't storing the currently-transmitting skb, so we were never
unmapping it and never freeing/popping it when the TX was done.
And the addition of pci_set_master() is fairly self-explanatory.

Snapshot sizes should be the same type as regular image sizes. This
only affects their displayed size in sysfs, not the reported size of
an actual block device sizes.

When a device was open at a snapshot, and snapshots were deleted or
added, data from the wrong snapshot could be read. Instead of
assuming the snap context is constant, store the actual snap id when
the device is initialized, and rely on the OSDs to signal an error
if we try reading from a snapshot that was deleted.

ondisk->snap_count is read from disk via rbd_req_sync_read() and thus
needs validation. Otherwise, a bogus `snap_count' could overflow the
kmalloc() size, leading to memory corruption.
Also use `u32' consistently for `snap_count'.

We should use the gfp_flags that the caller specified instead of
GFP_KERNEL here.
There is only one caller and it uses GFP_KERNEL, so this change is
just a cleanup and doesn't change how the code works.

This was an ill-conceived feature that has been removed from Ceph. Do
this gracefully:
- reject attempts to specify a preferred_osd via the ioctl
- stop exposing this information via virtual xattrs
- always fill in -1 for requests, in case we talk to an older server
- don't calculate preferred_osd placements/pgids

A recent change made changes to the rbd_client_list be protected by
a spinlock. Unfortunately in rbd_put_client(), the lock is taken
before possibly dropping the last reference to an rbd_client, and on
the last reference that eventually calls flush_workqueue() which can
sleep.
The problem was flagged by a debug spinlock warning:
BUG: spinlock wrong CPU on CPU#3, rbd/27814
The solution is to move the spinlock acquisition and release inside
rbd_client_release(), which is the spot where it's really needed for
protecting the removal of the rbd_client from the client list.

Since there are uses for I2C_M_NOSTART which are much more sensible and
standard than most of the protocol mangling functionality (the main one
being gather writes to devices where something like a register address
needs to be inserted before a block of data) create a new I2C_FUNC_NOSTART
for this feature and update all the users to use it.
Also strengthen the disrecommendation of the protocol mangling while we're
at it.
In the case of regmap-i2c we remove the requirement for mangling as
I2C_M_NOSTART is the only mangling feature which is being used.

As the bus driver side implementation of I2C_M_RECV_LEN is heavily
tied to SMBus, we can't support received length over 32 bytes, but
let's at least support that.
In practice, the caller will have to setup a buffer large enough to
cover the case where received length byte has value 32, so minimum
32 + 1 = 33 bytes, possibly more if there is a fixed number of bytes
added for the specific slave (for example a checksum.)

Since the watchdog code in sch56xx-common now uses the watchdog core, the
Kconfig entires for the sch5627 and sch5636 should depend on WATCHDOG
being set. Also select the watchdog core when we select one of the drivers.

Since the watchdog core keeps track of the watchdog's active state, start/stop
will never get called when no changes are necessary. So we can remove the
check for the output_enable register changing before writing it (which is
an expensive operation).

If a driver's watchdog_device struct is part of a dynamically allocated
struct (which it often will be), merely locking the module is not enough,
even with a drivers module locked, the driver can be unbound from the device,
examples:
1) The root user can unbind it through sysfd
2) The i2c bus master driver being unloaded for an i2c watchdog
I will gladly admit that these are corner cases, but we still need to handle
them correctly.
The fix for this consists of 2 parts:
1) Add ref / unref operations, so that the driver can refcount the struct
holding the watchdog_device struct and delay freeing it until any
open filehandles referring to it are closed
2) Most driver operations will do IO on the device and the driver should not
do any IO on the device after it has been unbound. Rather then letting each
driver deal with this internally, it is better to ensure at the watchdog
core level that no operations (other then unref) will get called after
the driver has called watchdog_unregister_device(). This actually is the
bulk of this patch.

This patch fixes some potential multithreading issues, despite only
allowing one process to open the /dev/watchdog device, we can still get
called multiple times at the same time, since a program could be using thread,
or could share the fd after a fork.
This causes 2 potential problems:
1) watchdog_start / open do an unlocked test_n_set / test_n_clear,
if these 2 race, the watchdog could be stopped while the active
bit indicates it is running or visa versa.
2) Most watchdog_dev drivers probably assume that only one
watchdog-op will get called at a time, this is not necessary
true atm.

While they are registered all our watchdogs now have a valid device object
so we can in turn use that to report problems nicely.

We keep the old /dev/watchdog interface file for the first watchdog via
miscdev. This is basically a cut and paste of the relevant interface code
from the rtc driver layer tweaked for watchdog.

We still don't understand why this fails exactly, but if fails way
too often for a simple debug information. Furthermore the current
ducttape should prevent the gpu from getting stuck at low frequencies.
Hence tune down the dmesg noise.
Note that the known failure case is that the register read returns 0
when the gpu gets confused.
