* [PATCH] kill eth_io_copy_and_sum()Al Viro2007-02-09
| | | | | | | | | | | On all targets that sucker boils down to memcpy_fromio(sbk->data, from, len). The function name is highly misguiding (it _never_ does any checksums), the last argument is just a noise and simply expanding the call to memcpy_fromio() gives shorter and more readable source. For a lot of reasons it has almost no remaining users, so it's better to just outright kill it. Current patch fixes it, as well as other inconsistencies expressed, that do not permit targets from working properly: - Updated dts with a chosen node with interrupt controller, - fixed messed device IDs among CPM2 SoC devices, - corrected odd header name and fixed type in defines, - Added 82xx subdir to the powerpc/platforms Makefile, missed during initial commit, - new solely-powerpc header file for 8260 family (was using one from arch/ppc, this one cleaned up from the extra stuff), in fact for now a placeholder to get the board-specific includes for stuff not yet capable to live with devicetree peeks only - Fixed couple of misprints in reference mpc8272 dts. | * | | drm: update core memory manager from git drm treeThomas Hellstrom2007-02-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the memory manager parameter from the put_block function, as this makes the client code a lot cleaner. Prepare buffer manager for lock and unlock calls. Fix buggy aligned allocations. Remove the stupid root_node field from the core memory manager. Support multi-page buffer offset alignments Add improved alignment functionality to the core memory manager. This makes an allocated block actually align itself and returns any wasted space to the manager. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@linux.ie>
