* usb: Add export.h for EXPORT_SYMBOL/THIS_MODULE where neededPaul Gortmaker2011-10-31
| | | | | | | | | | | | With module.h being implicitly everywhere via device.h, the absence of explicitly including something for EXPORT_SYMBOL went unnoticed. Since we are heading to fix things up and clean module.h from the device.h file, we need to explicitly include these files now. Use the lightweight version of the header that has just THIS_MODULE and EXPORT_SYMBOL variants. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* usb: Add module.h to drivers/usb consumers who really use it.Paul Gortmaker2011-10-31
| | | | | | | | | The situation up to this point meant that module.h was pretty much everywhere, regardless of whether you asked for it or not. We are fixing that, so give the USB folks who want it an actual include of it. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With this commit: cccad6d4b103e53fb3d1fc1467f654ecb572d047 usb: otg: notifier: switch to atomic notifier Following dumps are observed on attach/detach for MUSB HOST mode and on a detach for MUSB Device mode. BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/mutex.c:85 where, the source is: twl6030_usb_irq ->atomic_notifier_call_chain ->musb_otg_notifications ->twl6030_set_vbus ->twl_i2c_write_u8 ->mutex_lock This patch moves the i2c writes in set_vbus function to a work-queue thereby avoiding I2C writes in atomic context. * USB: TWL6025 allow different regulator nameGraeme Gregory2011-05-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The twl6025 uses a different regulator for USB than the 6030 so select the correct regulator name depending on the subclass of device. * USB: OTG: msm: Free VCCCX regulator even if we can't set the voltageMark Brown2011-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | If for some reason we fail to set the voltage range for the VDDCX regulator when removing it's better to still disable and free the regulator as that avoids leaking a reference to it and is likely to ensure that it's turned off completely. * USB: OTG: msm: Allow the widest possible range for VDDCX when removingMark Brown2011-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | | When not active the hardware should be able to tolerate voltages within the normal operating range so when removing set the maximum voltage we can use to the maximum rather than minimum of the operating range. * USB: OTG: msm: Implement charger detectionPavankumar Kondeti2011-05-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Implement good battery algorithm defined in the battery charging V1.2 spec for detecting different charging ports. USB hardware is put into low power mode when connected to a dedicated charging port. vbus_draw and set_power methods are implemented for determining the allowed current from Host in different states (un-configured/suspend/configured). The charger block is implemented using vendor specific registers and the PHY used in MSM8960(28nm PHY) different from older targets like MSM8x60 and MSM7x30(45nm PHY). The PHY vendor and product id registers are not implemented in the above chipsets. Hence PHY type is passed via platform data. | | * usb: otg: Adding twl6030-usb transceiver driver for OMAP4430Hema HK2010-12-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adding the twl6030-usb transceiver support for OMAP4 musb driver. OMAP4 supports 2 types of transceiver interface. 1. UTMI: The PHY is embedded within OMAP4. The transceiver functionality is split between the twl6030 PMIC chip and OMAP4430. The VBUS, ID pin sensing and OTG SRP generation part is integrated in TWL6030 and UTMI PHY functionality is embedded within the OMAP4430. There is no direct interactions between the MUSB controller and TWL6030 chip to communicate the session-valid, session-end and ID-GND events. It has to be done through a software by setting/resetting bits in one of the control module register of OMAP4430 which in turn toggles the appropriate signals to MUSB controller. The internal transceiver has functional clocks and powerdown bits to powerdown the PHY for power saving. Since there is no option available for having 2 transceiver drivers for one USB controller, internal PHY specific APIs are passed through plaform_data function pointers to use in the twl6030-usb transceiver driver. 2. ULPI interface is provided for off-chip transceivers.
