* serial: pl010: Convert to modern PM opsUlf Hansson2013-12-08
| | | | | | | | | Convert to modern PM ops and use the SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS macro to set up the PM callbacks. Cc: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* serial: Remove unnecessary amba_set_drvdata()Michal Simek2013-10-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | Driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, so just remove it from here. Driver core change: "device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound" (sha1: 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d) Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* serial: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han2013-07-31
| | | | | | | | Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* TTY: switch tty_flip_buffer_pushJiri Slaby2013-01-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more tty_port_tty_get in those paths. Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed: tty_flip_buffer_push. IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get at all yet. Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it anyway. * drivers/tty/serial/amba-pl0{10,11}.c: use clk_prepare_enable and ↵Julia Lawall2012-09-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | clk_disable_unprepare Clk_prepare_enable and clk_disable_unprepare combine clk_prepare and clk_enable, and clk_disable and clk_unprepare. The9 make the code more concise, and ensure that clk_unprepare is called when clk_enable fails. A simplified version of the semantic patch that introduces calls to these functions is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression e; @@ - clk_prepare(e); - clk_enable(e); + clk_prepare_enable(e); @@ expression e; @@ - clk_disable(e); - clk_unprepare(e); + clk_disable_unprepare(e); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

| | | | | | | | remove invalid location line in each file header after location moved from driver/char to driver/tty Signed-off-by: Jovi Zhang <bookjovi@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* ARM: amba: make probe() functions take const id tablesRussell King2011-02-23
| | | | | | | | Make Primecell driver probe functions take a const pointer to their ID tables. Drivers should never modify their ID tables in their probe handler. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* tty: move drivers/serial/ to drivers/tty/serial/Greg Kroah-Hartman2011-01-13
The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall. This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago.
