* serial: move delta_msr_wait into the tty_portAlan Cox2009-09-19
| | | | | | | This is used by various drivers not just serial and can be extracted as commonality Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com>
* serial: kill off uart_infoAlan Cox2009-09-19
| | | | | | | | We moved this into uart_state, now move the fields out of the separate structure and kill it off. Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* When a break signal is detected, the next character should be ignored.Mischa Jonker2009-01-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This was not implemented correctly for the pnx8xxx_uart driver. [From further discussion: Correct, you can look to it as two separate bugs: a) the next character is not ignored while it should; b) the status bits 31-8 are copied to the 'ch' variable while they shouldn't. Both bugs prevent correct break signal handling (and therefore correct behaviour of the magic SysRq key). Bug b didn't cause too much trouble earlier because in most situations the status bits are all zero; for this case they unfortunately aren't. ] Signed-off-by: Mischa Jonker <mischa.jonker@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* Fix compile errors in SGI console drivers (linux-next tree)Takashi Iwai2008-07-20
| | | | | | | | | | The below is the patch to replace blindly all possible places, including Jack's fixes. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de> (Reviewed and checked rather than blindly added) Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* drivers/serial/: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk2008-07-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes CVS keywords that weren't updated for a long time in comments, printk's and MODULE_DESCRIPTION's (no printk's or MODULE_DESCRIPTION's are completely removed). While doing this I also found and fixed a missing \n in a printk in m32r_sio.c Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* serial: fix platform driver hotplug/coldplugKay Sievers2008-04-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since 43cc71eed1250755986da4c0f9898f9a635cb3bf, the platform modalias is prefixed with "platform:". Add MODULE_ALIAS() to the hotpluggable serial platform drivers, to re-enable auto loading. NOTE that Kconfig for some of these drivers doesn't allow modular builds, and thus doesn't match the driver source's unload support. Presumably their unload code is buggy and/or weakly tested...
