* [S390] remove old z90crypt driver.Martin Schwidefsky2006-09-20
| | | | | | | The z90crypt driver has served its term. It is replaced by the shiny new zcrypt device driver. Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* [PATCH] devfs: Remove the miscdevice devfs_name field as it's no longer neededGreg Kroah-Hartman2006-06-26
| | | | | | Also fixes all drivers that set this field. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* [PATCH] s390: kzalloc() conversion in drivers/s390Eric Sesterhenn2006-03-24
| | | | | | | | | Convert all kmalloc + memset sequences in drivers/s390 to kzalloc usage. Signed-off-by: Eric Sesterhenn <snakebyte@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] s390: CEX2A crt message lengthEric Rossman2006-03-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Undetected edge case for CRT messages to CEX2A caused length to be too short, thus truncating the message. The solution was to check a different variable which actually determines which key type is being used. Increment version number in z90main.c to correct level of 1.3.3, fix copyright year and add comment about bitlength limit of CEX2A. * [PATCH] s390: Remove CVS generated informationHeiko Carstens2006-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - Remove all CVS generated information like e.g. revision IDs from drivers/s390 and include/asm-s390 (none present in arch/s390). - Add newline at end of arch/s390/lib/Makefile to avoid diff message. * [PATCH] don't include ioctl32.h in driversChristoph Hellwig2006-01-10
| | | | | | | | | | | These days ioctl32.h is only used for communication of fs/compat.c and fs/compat_ioctl.c and doesn't contain anything of interest to drivers. Remove inclusion in various drivers. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] s390: add support for cex2a crypto cardsEric Rossman2006-01-06

* [PATCH] remove CONFIG_KOBJECT_UEVENT optionKay Sievers2006-01-04
| | | | | | | | | It makes zero sense to have hotplug, but not the netlink events enabled today. Remove this option and merge the kobject_uevent.h header into the kobject.h header file. Signed-off-by: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* [PATCH] changing CONFIG_LOCALVERSION rebuilds too much, for no good reasonOlaf Hering2005-11-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes almost all inclusions of linux/version.h. The 3 #defines are unused in most of the touched files. A few drivers use the simple KERNEL_VERSION(a,b,c) macro, which is unfortunatly in linux/version.h. There are also lots of #ifdef for long obsolete kernels, this was not touched. In a few places, the linux/version.h include was move to where the LINUX_VERSION_CODE was used. quilt vi `find * -type f -name "*.[ch]"|xargs grep -El '(UTS_RELEASE|LINUX_VERSION_CODE|KERNEL_VERSION|linux/version.h)'|grep -Ev '(/(boot|coda|drm)/|~$)'` search pattern: /UTS_RELEASE\|LINUX_VERSION_CODE\|KERNEL_VERSION\|linux\/\(utsname\|version\).h Signed-off-by: Olaf Hering <olh@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] kfree cleanup: drivers/s390Jesper Juhl2005-11-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | This is the drivers/s390/ part of the big kfree cleanup patch. Remove pointless checks for NULL prior to calling kfree() in drivers/s390/. * [PATCH] s390: crypto driver patch take 2Martin Schwidefsky2005-09-17
| | | | | | | | | | | Got confused with the crypto update. The last patch added a call to destroy_workqueue() for a non-existent workqueue with the comment "Remove device workqueue on module unload". This is nonsense. Remove the offending hunk again. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
