* iwlwifi: add NVM and PHY DB code for new MVM driverJohannes Berg2013-01-30
| | | | | | | | | The new MVM (multi-virtual MAC) firmware driver requires NVM (non-volatile memory) parsing code and some PHY information database code. Add this separately. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>

* iwlwifi: Change define and struct names in iwl-eeprom-parse.hEytan Lifshitz2012-12-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since we will have several forms of NVM (EEPROM, OTP, etc.) and they will have different layouts, make the parsed data more generic. This allows functional code to be independent of a specific layout. Also change some variables and function names from having "eeprom" to "nvm" in their name. * iwlwifi: remove EEPROM version message by defaultJohannes Berg2012-11-07
| | | | | | | | | | If the EEPROM reading was successful, don't print a message by default, the EEPROM version isn't all that interesting. Change the message to DEBUG_INFO priority so it can still be obtained. Reviewed-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: fix 11n_disable EEPROM refactoring regressionJohannes Berg2012-06-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | My commit 26a7ca9a71a ("iwlwifi: refactor EEPROM reading/parsing") broke the 11n_disable module parameter's BIT(0) to disable all HT operation (using the other bits to disable aggregation only was unaffected). Restore this by overriding the SKU when parsing the EEPROM if the module parameter is set. * iwlwifi: refactor EEPROM reading/parsingJohannes Berg2012-06-06
The EEPROM reading/parsing code is all mixed in the driver today, and the EEPROM is parsed only when we access data from it. This is problematic because the NVM needs to be parsed and that is independent of reading it. Also, the NVM format for new devices will be different and probably require a new parser. Therefore refactor the reading and parsing and create two independent components. Reading the EEPROM requires direct hardware accesses and therefore access to the transport, but parsing is independent and can be done on an NVM blob.
