* Fix PHY Lib support for gianfar and ucc_gethAndy Fleming2008-02-06
| | | | | | | | | | The PHY Lib now uses mutexes instead of spin_locks. ucc_geth and gianfar both grab the locks in their mdio_reset functions, so they need to use mutex_(un)lock instead. This was not caught until someone tested it on an SMP system. Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
* ucc_geth: get rid of device_type for mdioAnton Vorontsov2008-01-28
| | | | | | | | | device_type property is bogus, thus use proper compatible. Also change compatible property to "fsl,ucc-mdio". Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* ucc_geth: kill unused includeKumar Gala2007-09-13
| | | | | | | | The ucc_geth_mii code is based on the gianfar_mii code that use to include ocp.h. ucc never need this and it causes issues when we want to kill arch/ppc includes from arch/powerpc. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* ucc_geth: fix section mismatchDomen Puncer2007-08-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This fix section mismatch: reference to .exit.text:uec_mdio_exit (between 'ucc_geth_init' and 'uec_mdio_init') void __exit uec_mdio_exit(void) is called from - static int __init ucc_geth_init(void) - static void __exit ucc_geth_exit(void) First one would make error path more than just an error. * ucc_geth: add ethtool supportLi Yang2007-07-24
| | | | | | | | The patch enables statistics in ucc_geth and adds ethtool support to ucc_geth driver. Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoli@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
* ucc_geth: Fix MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() duplicationLi Yang2007-05-24
| | | | | | | | Fix MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() duplication in ucc_geth.c and ucc_geth_mii.c for ucc_geth to be compiled as module. Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoli@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
* ucc_geth: eliminate max-speed, change interface-type to phy-connection-typeKim Phillips2007-05-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | It was agreed that phy-connection-type was a better name for the interface-type property, so this patch renames it. Also, the max-speed property name was determined too generic, and is therefore eliminated in favour of phy-connection-type derivation logic. includes corrections to copyright text. * [POWERPC] Rename get_property to of_get_property: driversStephen Rothwell2007-05-02
| | | | | | | | These are all the remaining instances of get_property. Simple rename of get_property to of_get_property. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* ucc_geth: migrate ucc_geth to phylibKim Phillips2007-04-28
migrate ucc_geth to use the common phylib code. There are several side effects from doing this: o deprecate 'interface' property specification present in some old device tree source files in favour of a split 'max-speed' and 'interface-type' description to appropriately match definitions in include/linux/phy.h. Note that 'interface' property is still honoured if max-speed or interface-type are not present (backward compatible). o compile-time CONFIG_UGETH_HAS_GIGA is eliminated in favour of probe time speed derivation logic. o adjust_link streamlined to only operate on maccfg2 and upsmr.r10m, instead of reapplying static initial values related to the interface-type. o Addition of UEC MDIO of_platform driver requires platform code add 'mdio' type to id list prior to calling of_platform_bus_probe (separate patch). o ucc_struct_init introduced to reduce ucc_geth_startup complexity.
