* tehuti: convert to net_device_opsStephen Hemminger2008-11-21
| | | | | | | Convert driver to new net_device_ops. Compile tested only. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* netdevice: safe convert to netdev_priv() #part-3Wang Chen2008-11-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have some reasons to kill netdev->priv: 1. netdev->priv is equal to netdev_priv(). 2. netdev_priv() wraps the calculation of netdev->priv's offset, obviously netdev_priv() is more flexible than netdev->priv. But we cann't kill netdev->priv, because so many drivers reference to it directly. This patch is a safe convert for netdev->priv to netdev_priv(netdev). Since all of the netdev->priv is only for read. But it is too big to be sent in one mail. I split it to 4 parts and make every part smaller than 100,000 bytes, which is max size allowed by vger. * drivers/net: Kill now superfluous ->last_rx stores.David S. Miller2008-11-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The generic packet receive code takes care of setting netdev->last_rx when necessary, for the sake of the bonding ARP monitor. Drivers need not do it any more. Some cases had to be skipped over because the drivers were making use of the ->last_rx value themselves. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* netdrv: don't truncate VLAN TCI with VLAN strippingPatrick McHardy2008-07-06
| | | | | | | | | The vlan_hwaccel_{rx,receive_skb} functions expect the full TCI field for priority mappings, don't truncate the upper 4 bits. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Acked-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* drivers/net/tehuti: use proper capability check for raw IO accessLinus Torvalds2008-04-29
| | | | | | | | | Yeah, in practice they both mean "root", but Alan correctly points out that anybody who gets to do raw IO space accesses should really be using CAP_SYS_RAWIO rather than CAP_NET_ADMIN. * netdev: ARRAY_SIZE() cleanupsAlejandro Martinez Ruiz2008-01-28
| | | | | | | Convert array size calculations to use ARRAY_SIZE(). Signed-off-by: Alejandro Martinez Ruiz <alex@flawedcode.org> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
* netdev: use ARRAY_SIZE() instead of sizeof(array) / ETH_GSTRING_LENAlejandro Martinez Ruiz2008-01-28
| | | | | | | | Using ARRAY_SIZE() on arrays of the form array[][K] makes it unnecessary to know the value of K when checking its size. Signed-off-by: Alejandro Martinez Ruiz <alex@flawedcode.org> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
