* [PATCH] drivers/net/*: use time_after() and friendsMarcelo Feitoza Parisi2006-01-17
| | | | | | | | | | | They deal with wrapping correctly and are nicer to read. Also make jiffies-holding variables unsigned long. * [NET]: Kill skb->listDavid S. Miller2005-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the "list" member of struct sk_buff, as it is entirely redundant. All SKB list removal callers know which list the SKB is on, so storing this in sk_buff does nothing other than taking up some space. Two tricky bits were SCTP, which I took care of, and two ATM drivers which Francois Romieu <romieu@fr.zoreil.com> fixed up. Signed-off-by: David S. * [SHAPER]: Switch to spinlocks.Christoph Hellwig2005-07-05
| | | | | | | | | | Dave, you were right and the sleeping locks in shaper were broken. Markus Kanet noticed this and also tested the patch below that switches locking to spinlocks. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [NET]: Fix locking in shaper driver.Christoph Hellwig2005-06-02
| | | | | | | | | | | o use a semaphore instead of an opencoded and racy lock o move locking out of shaper_kick and into the callers - most just released the lock before calling shaper_kick o remove in_interrupt() tests. from ->close we can always block, from ->hard_start_xmit and timer context never Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
