* ixgbe: Implement FCoE Tx side offload features in base driver of 82599Yi Zou2009-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch implements the FCoE Tx side offload features in ixgbe_main.c to 82599 using the Tx offload infrastructure code added in the previous patch. This is achieved by the calling the FCoE Sequence Offload (FSO) function ixgbe_fso() on the transmit path of ixgbe. This patch also includes an EEPROM check to make sure the NIC we're loading on is an offload-enabled SKU. * ixgbe: Add 82599 device id's, hook it up into the main driver.PJ Waskiewicz2009-03-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the hardware-specific code in place, add all supported device id's, along with base driver changes to enable 82599 devices. The devices being enabled are: 8086:10f7: 82599EB 10 Gigabit KX4 Network Connection 8086:10fb: 82599EB 10 Gigabit Network Connection The device 8086:10fb is a fully-pluggable SFP+ NIC. * DCB: fix kconfig optionJeff Kirsher2008-11-25
| | | | | | | | | Since the netlink option for DCB is necessary to actually be useful, simplified the Kconfig option. In addition, added useful help text for the Kconfig option. Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* ixgbe: this patch adds support for DCB to the kernel and ixgbe driverAlexander Duyck2008-11-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds support for Data Center Bridging (DCB) features in the ixgbe driver and adds an rtnetlink interface for configuring DCB to the kernel. The DCB feature support included are Priority Grouping (PG) - which allows bandwidth guarantees to be allocated to groups to traffic based on the 802.1q priority, and Priority Based Flow Control (PFC) - which introduces a new MAC control PAUSE frame which works at granularity of the 802.1p priority instead of the link (IEEE 802.3x). * ixgbe: driver for Intel(R) 82598 PCI-Express 10GbE adapters (v4)Auke Kok2007-10-10
This patch adds support for the Intel 82598 PCI-Express 10GbE chipset. Devices will be available on the market soon. This version of the driver is largely the same as the last release: * Driver uses a single RX and single TX queue, each using 1 MSI-X irq vector. * Driver runs in NAPI mode only * Driver is largely multiqueue-ready (TM) Changes since 20070803: * removed wrappers for hardware functions * incorporated e1000e-style HW api reorganization code * sparse/checkpatch cleanups, namespace cleanups * driver prints out extra debugging information at load time identifying adapter board number, mac, phy types * removed ixgbe_api.c, ixgbe_api.h, ixgbe_osdep.h * driver update to 1.1.18 * removed ixgbe.txt which contained no useful info anymore [ Integrated napi_struct changes from Auke as well... -DaveM ] Signed-off-by: Auke Kok <auke-jan.h.kok@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ayyappan Veeraiyan <ayyappan.veeraiyan@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
