* net/ethernet: ks8851_mll: signedness bug in ks8851_probe()Dan Carpenter2012-02-19
| | | | | | | | netdev->irq is unsigned, so it's never less than zero. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Tested-by: Jan Weitzel <j.weitzel@phytec.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net/ethernet: ks8851_mll fix irq handlingJan Weitzel2012-02-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | There a two different irq variables ks->irq and netdev->irq. Only ks->irq is set on probe, so disabling irq in ks_start_xmit fails. This patches remove ks->irq from private data and use only netdev->irq. Tested on a kernel 3.0 based OMAP4430 SMP Board Signed-off-by: Jan Weitzel <j.weitzel@phytec.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* ks8851: Fix NOHZ local_softirq_pending 08 warningCousson, Benoit2012-02-13
| | | | | | | | | | | This fix a similar problem as in 72092cc45378176ba700034c91b7af2db524df26 and 481a8199142c050b72bff8a1956a49fd0a75bbe0 ("can: fix NOHZ local_softirq_pending 08 warning"). This fix replaces netif_rx() with netif_rx_ni() which has to be used from process/softirq context. Signed-off-by: Benoit Cousson <b-cousson@ti.com> Cc: David S. * drivers: misc: Remove MISC_DEVICES config optionFabio Estevam2012-01-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MISC_DEVICES option alone does not select any kernel code and can cause dependency build warnings, such as: warning: (KS8851 && AX88796_93CX6 && RTL8180 && RTL8187 && ADM8211 && RT2400PCI && RT2500PCI && RT61PCI && RT2800PCI && R8187SE) selects EEPROM_93CX6 which has unmet direct dependencies (MISC_DEVICES) As the current drivers/misc/Kconfig stands, it is only possible to select the drivers below if MISC_DEVICES option is selected: source "drivers/misc/c2port/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/eeprom/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/cb710/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/iwmc3200top/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/ti-st/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/lis3lv02d/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/carma/Kconfig" source "drivers/misc/altera-stapl/Kconfig" So remove MISC_DEVICES option so that nothing is dependant on it. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the drivers in drivers/net/ethernet/* to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. * | KSZ8851-SNL: Add ethtool support for EEPROM via eeprom_93cx6Ben Dooks2011-11-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add ethtool EEPROM read/write support using the eeprom_93cx6 library instead of open-coding the functions. Depends on eeprom_93cx6 driver getting EEPROM write support. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When device is off it is under power saving mode. Changing the MAC address in that situation will result in the device not communicating as the first write to the MAC address register is not executed. * | KSZ8851-SNL: Add support for EEPROM MAC addressBen Dooks2011-11-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support for reading the MAC address from the system registers if there is an EEPROM present. This involves caching the KS_CCR register for later use (will also be useful for ETHTOOL support) and adding a print to say that there is an EEPROM present. * net: add skb frag size accessorsEric Dumazet2011-10-19
| | | | | | | | | | | To ease skb->truesize sanitization, its better to be able to localize all references to skb frags size. * MII: fix Kconfig dependencies for MIIJeff Kirsher2011-09-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MII Kconfig option is apart of the core networking drivers and by default NET_CORE is enabled so drivers selecting MII will have MII enabled as well. It was found using the randconfig option during testing, MII would be selected but NET_CORE could be disabled. This caused a dependency error. Resolved the dependency by selecting NET_CORE when MII is selected. * drivers/net/ethernet/*: Enabled vendor Kconfig optionsJeff Kirsher2011-08-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on finds for Stephen Rothwell, where current defconfig's enable a ethernet driver and it is not compiled due to the newly added NET_VENDOR_* component of Kconfig. This patch enables all the "new" Kconfig options so that current defconfig's will continue to compile the expected drivers. In addition, by enabling all the new Kconfig options does not add any un-expected options. CC: Stephen Rothwll <sfc@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>
