* MTD/JFFS2: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk2008-06-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | Once upon a time, the MTD repository was using CVS. This patch therefore removes all usages of the no longer updated CVS keywords from the MTD code. This also includes code that printed them to the user. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD] [NAND] fix possible Ooops in rfc_from4Sebastian Siewior2008-04-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I found this while I was looking how the rs_lib is working. The rs_decoder is initialized _after_ the nand core code read the BBT table and _after_ the partition table has been added. The driver has a private BBT description which is in located in flash data so we Ooops if there is a bit flip _or_ if a bit flips while reading the partition table. This patch moves the initialization of the rs_lib before the first possible access by nand core. * mtd: nand: add out label in rfc_from4Sebastian Siewior2008-03-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | This has been forgotten in commit f5bbdacc419 ("[MTD] NAND Modularize read function") and nobody compiled the driver. * [MTD] [NAND] rtc_from4.c: use lib/bitrev.cAdrian Bunk2006-11-28
| | | | | | | | This patch converts drivers/mtd/nand/rtc_from4.c to use the new lib/bitrev.c Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD] NAND Replace oobinfo by ecclayoutThomas Gleixner2006-05-29
| | | | | | | | | The nand_oobinfo structure is not fitting the newer error correction demands anymore. Replace it by struct nand_ecclayout and fixup the users all over the place. Keep the nand_oobinfo based ioctl for user space compability reasons. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
* [MTD] NAND modularize write functionThomas Gleixner2006-05-26
| | | | | | | | Modularize the write function and reorganaize the internal buffer management. Remove obsolete chip options and fixup all affected users. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
* [MTD] NAND Modularize read functionThomas Gleixner2006-05-25
| | | | | | | | Split the core of the read function out and implement seperate handling functions for software and hardware ECC. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
* [MTD] Refactor NAND hwcontrol to cmd_ctrlThomas Gleixner2006-05-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | The hwcontrol function enforced a step by step state machine for any kind of hardware chip access. Let the hardware driver know which control bits are set and inform it about a change of the control lines. Let the hardware driver write out the command and address bytes directly. This gives a peformance advantage for address bus controlled chips and simplifies the quirks in the hardware drivers. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>

| * [MTD] Introduce writesizeJoern Engel2006-05-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At least two flashes exists that have the concept of a minimum write unit, similar to NAND pages, but no other NAND characteristics. Therefore, rename the minimum write unit to "writesize" for all flashes, including NAND. Signed-off-by: Joern Engel <joern@wh.fh-wedel.de>
* | [MTD] NAND modularize ECCThomas Gleixner2006-05-23

* [MTD NAND] Make various initfuncs static, remove #ifdef MODULE from exitfuncsDavid Woodhouse2006-05-16
| | | | | | | We all inherited the same error from the original NAND board driver which got copied and changed. Fix them all at once... Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD] Fix module refcounting in NAND board drivers.David Woodhouse2006-05-13
| | | | | | | | | The _board_ driver needs to be mtd->owner, and it in turn pins the nand.ko module. Fix them all to actually do that, and fix nand.ko not to overwrite it -- and also to check that the caller sets it, if the caller is a module. Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD NAND] Indent all of drivers/mtd/nand/*.c.David Woodhouse2006-05-13

* [PATCH] turn "const static" into "static const"Jesper Juhl2006-01-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | ICC likes to complain about storage class not being first, GCC doesn't care much (except for cases like "inline static"). have a hard time seeing how it could break anything. Thanks to Gabriel A. Devenyi for pointing out http://linuxicc.sourceforge.net/ which is what made me create this patch. | | | | | | | | | | Added routine to perform extra error status checks on erase and write failures to determine if errors are correctable. Added option to prevent JFFS2 from using virtual erase blocks. Performed minor cleanup on whitespace and comments. Signed-off-by: David A. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
