* [SCSI] ses: fix problems caused by empty SES provided nameYinghai Lu2009-05-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | We use the name provided by SES to name objects. An empty name is legal in SES but causes problems in our generic device hierarchy. Fix this by falling back to a number if the name is either NULL or empty. Also fix a secondary bug spotted in that dev_set_name(dev, name) uses a string format and so would go wrong if name contained a '%'. * isl29003: fix resume functionalityDaniel Mack2009-05-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The isl29003 does not interpret the return value of i2c_smbus_write_byte_data() correctly and hence causes an error on system resume. Also introduce power_state_before_suspend and restore the chip's power state upon wakeup. Signed-off-by: Daniel Mack <daniel@caiaq.de> Cc: "Rafael J. * sgi-xp/sgi-gru: allow modules to load on non-uv systemsRobin Holt2009-04-21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | For an upcoming distro release, we need to have the xp kernel module loadable even when not on UV equipment. The xpc module will not load. This will allow one set of modules dependent upon xp to work on either UV or non-UV equipment. * sgi-xpc: implement opencomplete messagingRobin Holt2009-04-13
| | | | | | | | | | | sgi-xpc has a window of failure where an open message can be sent and a subsequent data message can get lost. We have added a new message (opencomplete) which closes that window. * sgi-xpc: prevent false heartbeat failuresRobin Holt2009-04-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | The heartbeat timeout functionality in sgi-xpc is currently not trained to the connection time. If a connection is made and the code is in the last polling window prior to doing a timeout, the next polling window will see the heartbeat as unchanged and initiate a no-heartbeat disconnect. * | memory_accessor: implement the new memory_accessor interface for I2C EEPROMKevin Hilman2009-04-02
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the case of at24, the platform code registers a 'setup' callback with the at24_platform_data. When the at24 driver detects an EEPROM, it fills out the read and write functions of the memory_accessor and calls the setup callback passing the memory_accessor struct. The platform code can then use the read/write functions in the memory_accessor struct for reading and writing the EEPROM.
