| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Video IF was removed from tuners struct. - Each Video standard have its own Video IF frequency, so it is related to video standard. Of course tuner also needs saw filters for IF, but this way, similar tuners can be grouped into just one entry, if they have the same cut-off freqs and the same switch config and global config. | * | V4L (926_2): Moves compat32 functions from fs to v4l subsystemArnd Bergmann2006-01-09
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the 32 bit ioctl compatibility handlers for Video4Linux into a new file and adds explicit calls to them to each v4l device driver. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any code handling the v4l2 ioctls, so quite often the code goes through two separate conversions, first from 32 bit v4l to 64 bit v4l, and from there to 64 bit v4l2. My patch does not change that, so there is still much room for improvement. Also, some drivers have additional ioctl numbers, for which the conversion should be handled internally to that driver. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Given that implementing i2c_driver.command is optional, there is no point in an empty implementation thereof. | * | [PATCH] I2C: Remove .owner setting from i2c_driver as it's no longer neededGreg Kroah-Hartman2006-01-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that i2c_add_driver() doesn't need the module owner to be set by hand, we can delete it from the drivers. This patch catches all of the drivers that I found in the current tree (if a driver sets the .owner by hand, it's not a problem, just not needed.) | * | [PATCH] i2c: Drop i2c_driver.{owner,name}, 5 of 11Laurent Riffard2006-01-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We should use the i2c_driver.driver's .name and .owner fields instead of the i2c_driver's ones. | * | [PATCH] i2c: Rework client usage count, 2 of 3Jean Delvare2006-01-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make I2C_CLIENT_ALLOW_USE the default for all i2c clients. It doesn't hurt if the usage count is actually never used for any given driver, and allows for nice code simplifications in i2c-core. | * | [PATCH] i2c: Drop i2c_driver.flags, 2 of 3Jean Delvare2006-01-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Just about every i2c chip driver sets the I2C_DF_NOTIFY flag, so we can simply make it the default and drop the flag. If any driver really doesn't want to be notified when i2c adapters are added, that driver can simply omit to set .attach_adapter. This approach is also more robust as it prevents accidental NULL pointer dereferences. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
