* [POWERPC] fix up front-LED KconfigJohannes Berg2006-07-07
| | | | | | | Rather long patch, apparently no one has updated the pmac32_defconfig in a while. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Make sure we select CONFIG_NEW_LEDS if ADB_PMU_LED is setPaul Mackerras2006-06-28

* [POWERPC] Convert powermac ide blink to new led infrastructureJohannes Berg2006-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the old pmac ide led blink code and adds generic LED subsystem support for the LED. It maintains backward compatibility with the old BLK_DEV_IDE_PMAC_BLINK Kconfig option which now simply selects the new code and influences the default trigger. * [PATCH] Rewritten backlight infrastructure for portable Apple computersMichael Hanselmann2006-06-25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch contains a total rewrite of the backlight infrastructure for portable Apple computers. Backward compatibility is retained. A sysfs interface allows userland to control the brightness with more steps than before. Userland is allowed to upload a brightness curve for different monitors, similar to Mac OS X. * ppc: fix up trivial Kconfig config selectionLinus Torvalds2006-02-08
| | | | | | | | | Quoth BenH: "Ok, looks like I forgot to update the Kconfig for the new i2c driver, it should select I2C_POWERMAC instead. Do you want a new patch or can you just fix it there ?" Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: Thermal control for dual core G5sBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-02-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a windfarm module, windfarm_pm112, for the dual core G5s (both 2 and 4 core models), keeping the machine from getting into vacuum-cleaner mode ;) For proper credits, the patch was initially written by Paul Mackerras, and slightly reworked by me to add overtemp handling among others. The patch also removes the sysfs attributes from windfarm_pm81 and windfarm_pm91 and instead adds code to the windfarm core to automagically expose attributes for sensor & controls. * [PATCH] 2/5 powerpc: Rework PowerMac i2c part 2Benjamin Herrenschmidt2006-01-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is the continuation of the previous patch. This one removes the old PowerMac i2c drivers (i2c-keywest and i2c-pmac-smu) and replaces them both with a single stub driver that uses the new PowerMac low i2c layer. Now that i2c-keywest is gone, the low-i2c code is extended to support interrupt driver transfers. All i2c busses now appear as platform devices. Compatibility with existing drivers should be maintained as the i2c bus names have been kept identical, except for the SMU bus but in that later case, all users has been fixed. With that patch added, matching a device node to an i2c_adapter becomes trivial. Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] ppc64: Thermal control for SMU based machinesBenjamin Herrenschmidt2005-11-07
| | | | | | | | | | This adds a new thermal control framework for PowerMac, along with the implementation for PowerMac8,1, PowerMac8,2 (iMac G5 rev 1 and 2), and PowerMac9,1 (latest single CPU desktop). In the future, I expect to move the older G5 thermal control to the new framework as well. * [PATCH] Kconfig fix (PMAC_BACKLIGHT on ppc64)Al Viro2005-08-23

* [PATCH] ppc64: hide CONFIG_ADBOlaf Hering2005-07-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This bites me all day when I use our default config for ppc64. We use a patch to fix the compile errors and provide the CONFIG_MAC_EMUMOUSEBTN functionality (which is behind CONFIG_INPUT_ADBHID). But Benh doesnt like it. http://ozlabs.org/pipermail/linuxppc64-dev/2005-March/003423.html Just hide all the ADB parts from via-pmu on ppc64 instead. drivers/macintosh/adbhid.c: In function `adbhid_init': drivers/macintosh/adbhid.c:1199: error: `_MACH_chrp' undeclared (first use in this function) drivers/macintosh/adbhid.c:1199: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once drivers/macintosh/adbhid.c:1199: error: for each function it appears in.) * [PATCH] ppc32: Remove CONFIG_PMAC_PBOOKBenjamin Herrenschmidt2005-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes CONFIG_PMAC_PBOOK (PowerBook support). This is now split into CONFIG_PMAC_MEDIABAY for the actual hotswap bay that some powerbooks have, CONFIG_PM for power management related code, and just left out of any CONFIG_* option for some generally useful stuff that can be used on non-laptops as well. * [PATCH] ppc32: remove obsolete macserial driverBenjamin Herrenschmidt2005-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | The macserial driver has been obsoleted by the new pmac_zilog driver for a while now and probably doesn't even work anymore on recent kernels. This patch removes it. * Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-16
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
