* x86: unify arch/x86/mm/MakefileH. Peter Anvin2008-04-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Unify arch/x86/mm/Makefile between 32 and 64 bits. All configuration variables that are protected by Kconfig constraints have been put in the common part of the Makefile; however, the NUMA files are totally different between 32 and 64 bits and are handled via an ifdef. * x86: make various pageattr.c functions staticArjan van de Ven2008-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | change_page_attr_add is only used in pageattr.c now, so we can make this function static. change_page_attr() isn't used anywere at all anymore; this function is a really bad API anyway so just remove the bloat entirely. * x86: unify ioremap_32 and _64Thomas Gleixner2008-01-30
| | | | | | | | Unify the now identical ioremap_32.c and ioremap_64.c into the same ioremap.c file. No code changed. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86: unify pageattr_32.c and pageattr_64.cIngo Molnar2008-01-30

* x86: c_p_a(), add simple self test at bootAndi Kleen2008-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Since change_page_attr() is tricky code it is good to have some regression test code. This patch maps and unmaps some random pages in the direct mapping at boot and then dumps the state and does some simple sanity checks. Add it with a CONFIG option. * x86: unify extable_{32|64}.cHarvey Harrison2008-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | Introduce fixup_exception() on 64-bit and use it in kprobes to eliminate an #ifdef. Only 64-bit needs search_extable() due to a stepping bug. * x86: unify mmap_{32|64}.cHarvey Harrison2008-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | mmap_is_ia32 always true for X86_32, or while emulating IA32 on X86_64 Randomization not supported on X86_32 in legacy layout. Both layouts allow randomization on X86_64.
