* x86, apic: move remaining APIC drivers to arch/x86/kernel/apic/*Ingo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | Move the 32-bit extended-arch APIC drivers to arch/x86/kernel/apic/ too, and rename apic_64.c to probe_64.c. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86, apic: rename 'genapic' to 'apic'Ingo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | Impact: cleanup Now that all APIC code is consolidated there's nothing 'gen' about apics anymore - so rename 'struct genapic' to 'struct apic'. This shortens the code and is nicer to read as well. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86, apic: remove ->store_NMI_vector()Ingo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | | Impact: cleanup It's not used by anything anymore. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86, apic: remove apicid_cluster()Ingo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There were multiple definitions of apicid_cluster() scattered around in APIC drivers - but the definitions are equivalent to the already existing generic APIC_CLUSTER() method. So remove apicid_cluster() and change all users to APIC_CLUSTER(). * x86, apic: clean up the cpu_2_logical_apiciddeclarationIngo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | extern declarations were scattered in 4 files - consolidate them into apic.h. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86, apic: remove stale references to APIC_DEFINITIONIngo Molnar2009-02-17
| | | | | | | | | Impact: cleanup APIC_DEFINITION was a hack from the x86 subarch times, it has no meaning anymore - remove it. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>

* x86: fold apic_ops into genapicYinghai Lu2009-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | Impact: cleanup make it simpler, don't need have one extra struct. v2: fix the sgi_uv build Signed-off-by: Yinghai Lu <yinghai@kernel.org> Cc: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86, apic, 32-bit: add self-IPI methodsIngo Molnar2009-01-30
| | | | | | | | | Impact: fix rare crash on 32-bit The 32-bit APIC drivers had their send_IPI_self vectors set to NULL, but ioapic_retrigger_irq() depends on it being always set. Fix it. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* x86: seperate default_send_IPI_mask_sequence/allbutself from logicalYinghai Lu2009-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Impact: 32-bit should use logical version there are two version: for default_send_IPI_mask_sequence/allbutself one in ipi.h and one in ipi.c for 32bit it seems .h version overwrote ipi.c for a while. restore it so 32 bit could use its old logical version. also remove dupicated functions in .c Signed-off-by: Yinghai Lu <yinghai@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>

* x86: make generic arch support NUMAQYinghai Lu2008-06-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | ... so it could fall back to normal numa and we'd reduce the impact of the NUMAQ subarch. NUMAQ depends on GENERICARCH also decouple genericarch numa from acpi. also make it fall back to bigsmp if apicid > 8. * Delete filenames in comments.Dave Jones2007-10-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since the x86 merge, lots of files that referenced their own filenames are no longer correct. Rather than keep them up to date, just delete them, as they add no real value. Additionally: - fix up comment formatting in scx200_32.c - Remove a credit from myself in setup_64.c from a time when we had no SCM - remove longwinded history from tsc_32.c which can be figured out from git.
