* tile / cpu topology: remove stale Macro arch_provides_topology_pointersHanjun Guo2013-07-29
| | | | | | | | Macro arch_provides_topology_pointers is pointless now, remove it. Signed-off-by: Hanjun Guo <hanjun.guo@linaro.org> Cc: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* tile: Remove SD_PREFER_LOCAL leftoverAlex Shi2012-08-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | commit (sched: recover SD_WAKE_AFFINE in select_task_rq_fair and code clean up) removed SD_PREFER_LOCAL, but left a SD_PREFER_LOCAL usage in arch/tile code. That breaks the arch/tile build. * sched/numa: Rewrite the CONFIG_NUMA sched domain supportPeter Zijlstra2012-05-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The current code groups up to 16 nodes in a level and then puts an ALLNODES domain spanning the entire tree on top of that. This doesn't reflect the numa topology and esp for the smaller not-fully-connected machines out there today this might make a difference. Therefore, build a proper numa topology based on node_distance(). Since there's no fixed numa layers anymore, the static SD_NODE_INIT and SD_ALLNODES_INIT aren't usable anymore, the new code tries to construct something similar and scales some values either on the number of cpus in the domain and/or the node_distance() ratio. * arch/tile: disable SD_WAKE_AFFINE flag on CPU/NODE scheduling domainChris Metcalf2011-05-04
| | | | | | | This allows processes to spread more effectively to multiple cores (particularly important on 64-core chips!). Signed-off-by: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com>
* arch/tile: core support for Tilera 32-bit chips.Chris Metcalf2010-06-04
This change is the core kernel support for TILEPro and TILE64 chips. No driver support (except the console driver) is included yet. This includes the relevant Linux headers in asm/; the low-level low-level "Tile architecture" headers in arch/, which are shared with the hypervisor, etc., and are build-system agnostic; and the relevant hypervisor headers in hv/.
