* cpu: convert 'cpu' and 'machinecheck' sysdev_class to a regular subsystemKay Sievers2011-12-21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the 'cpu sysdev_class' over to a regular 'cpu' subsystem and converts the devices to regular devices. The sysdev drivers are implemented as subsystem interfaces now. After all sysdev classes are ported to regular driver core entities, the sysdev implementation will be entirely removed from the kernel. Userspace relies on events and generic sysfs subsystem infrastructure from sysdev devices, which are made available with this conversion. * sparc: convert old cpumask API into new oneKOSAKI Motohiro2011-05-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adapt new API. Almost change is trivial, most important change are to remove following like =operator. cpumask_t cpu_mask = *mm_cpumask(mm); cpus_allowed = current->cpus_allowed; Because cpumask_var_t is =operator unsafe. These usage might prevent kernel core improvement. No functional change. Signed-off-by: KOSAKI Motohiro <kosaki.motohiro@jp.fujitsu.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* arch/sparc/kernel: Use set_cpus_allowed_ptrJulia Lawall2010-03-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use set_cpus_allowed_ptr rather than set_cpus_allowed. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression E1,E2; @@ - set_cpus_allowed(E1, cpumask_of_cpu(E2)) + set_cpus_allowed_ptr(E1, cpumask_of(E2)) @@ expression E; identifier I; @@ - set_cpus_allowed(E, I) + set_cpus_allowed_ptr(E, &I) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: David S. * sparc64: cheaper asm/uaccess.h inclusionAlexey Dobriyan2009-08-16
| | | | | | | | sched.h inclusion is definitely not needed like in 32-bit version, remove it, fixup compilation. Signed-off-by: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* sparc: fix hardirq.h removal falloutSam Ravnborg2008-12-26
| | | | | | | | | When hardirq.h are removed from asm-generic/local.h a few bits fails to build. Fix these upfront. Reported by Alexey Dobriyan. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* sparc,sparc64: unify kernel/Sam Ravnborg2008-12-04
o Move all files from sparc64/kernel/ to sparc/kernel - rename as appropriate o Update sparc/Makefile to the changes o Update sparc/kernel/Makefile to include the sparc64 files NOTE: This commit changes link order on sparc64! Link order had to change for either of sparc32 and sparc64. And assuming sparc64 see more testing than sparc32 change link order on sparc64 where issues will be caught faster.
